Introduction
For every company it is essential to develop as well as maintain proper health and safety
practices for employees so that there is less chance of occurrence of hazard which leads to huge
loss to employees as well as organization such as loss of life, product damage and so on.
Organization selected for respective project is Tesla which is operating in automotive, energy
production and energy storage industry (Balogun, Andel and Smith, 2020). It is founded in 2003
and its head office is located at California, United State. The respective report is developed by
Human Resource Practitioner of respective company in which they develop report in order to
determine importance of health and safety practices for employer and employees. In respective
company hazards take place on continuous basis so their HR manager develop different
strategies or plan to deal with those hazard. The respective report will include information
related to hazard, control steps, employee’s rights and recommendations.
Hazard
Identify the source, type and effect of this hazard on the workplace and employees
According to me In Tesla the source of hazard is physical hazard as well as psychosocial
hazard as in respective company there is work of manufacturing and they operating at worldwide
level which increase burden of employees (Liu and et.al. 2020). I determined that in respect of
type physical hazard as well as psychosocial hazard which occur in Tesla is based on people,
equipments, material and process. Moreover this will impact on both workplace and employees
as it leads to decrease in productivity, wastage of material, decrease in employee’s morale,
impact on employee’s health, accident take place and so on.
Identification of Controls
Levels of controls and the precontact, point-of-contact, and postcontact controls
There are several levels of control hazard such as elimination, substitution, engineering
controls, administrative control and PPE (Carnevale and et.al. 2020). I determined that from
these Tesla adopt elimination control as level of control. In respect of elimination level Tesla
management evaluate cases due to specific process or material at the precontact then at point of
contact they develop strategies and determine alternative of that material or process. After at the
postcontact management ensure all now there is less or no occurrence of hazard. Through this

process respective company ensure that there is minimum occurrence of hazard at workplace
(Turner, 2020).
Employee Rights
Employee rights were violated
In an organization there are several rights of an employee which motivate them to do work
in best manner for the attainment of desire goal as well as objective successfully. In respect of
Tesla I evaluated that there are several employees’ rights which are violated at workplace such as
working hours, safety and break rest. According to me it is so because Tesla is a big brand and
they are operating at worldwide level and at several times there is high demand of products at
that time employees need to do extra work without minimum rest (Dyrbye and et.al. 2020).
Moreover respective maintain safety of staffs but I determined there are some department or
section in which employees didn’t have proper safe equipments due to their manager.
Recommendations
According to me there are several recommendations which need to put in place or Tesla
so that there will be decrease in the ratio of hazard which is experienced by employees and
employers. This include all employees get proper on the job training so they know how to use
specific equipment in safe manner and it is also essential that management develop strategies so
that every employees get proper rest while working.
Incident Recurrence
According to my perspective in order to measure the effectiveness of this intervention
management of Tesla may adopt method like in which management or employer will compare
the ratio incidents take place in last year which is before implementing the new process (Joubert,
2020). With the ratio taken after the implementation of new plan but in time before and after
implementation must be same like 1 year. It is so because that will help in conducting
measurement in effective manner.
Conclusion
According to my experiences at Tesla I able to learn numbers of things such as I get to
know that it is essential for a company to develop as well as maintain proper, healthy and safe
working environment. In respect of my analysis it is so because it is profitable for both
