INTRODUCTION
Academic skills refer to the core skills that help the students in terms of attaining the
objectives with the most effective manner. The academic skills consist of a range of skills such
as presentation, writing and referencing which helps in terms of delivering the desired objective
within the organisation. There a several challenging situations that exist in the business
environment through which the students learns to develop and deliver the objective within the
organisation (Aguilar and et. al., 2021). The skills learnt in the universities are helpful in gaining
career opportunities and assessing the program through delivering of training programs. This
report covers the reflective commentary assessment which critically discusses the challenges,
setbacks, success criteria and opportunities that led to the achievement of goals. This reflective
summary is done with a critical analysis which helped in bringing the maximum results for the
individual.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs reflective model was first introduced in the year 1988, this particular model helped in
terms of determining the certain areas which helped in gaining information regarding different
situations and experiences that exist within the organisation. The Gibbs reflection model is
further discussed below in context of the learning that I gained: Description- The foremost thing for the student is to describe the situation and series of
event which is related to the learning process. In this step, I will briefly describe the
situation regarding the areas in which something happened, the ways in which these thing
happened and other such question which are somehow related to the learning gained
during the process of learning. Feeling- The second step is focused on the stage where the feelings of learners are
assessed. Through this the learner ensures that their experiences and further encourages
them to avoid the comments that are there on the emotion. Evaluation- This stage is based on talking about the needs of individual to further
encourage to look for objective to which they will approach to do and further other
people will do. The students are further required to have a positive image which will help
in terms of respecting with the situation, this will help in terms of contributing in an
effective manner (Brooks, 2019).

Conclusion- Once the students have evaluated the situation then they can further draw
conclusions based on the areas which happened. Through this the positive and negative
impact on different people and things are evaluated. Action- This is the last stage where the action the individual us required to plan and
process so that the desired changes can be met with the identification of areas they needs
to be worked upon.
There are five step of stages which are required in cycle that helps in terms of determining
the situation which is concerned with the academic session. The second stage is concerned with
the feeling that needs to be talked about regarding the negative and positive impact with respect
to what I need to think before the situation and after in which the situation got place. This further
helps in terms of identification of feelings that are there respect to the situations that occur in the
environment. It is primary role to evaluate the feelings to encourage myself in terms of different
coaching programs and training sessions. After successfully establishing of situation it is
essential for me to conclude the skills that will be required in terms of development through
which the objective can be attained effectively. Further there is a need of exposure in the
multinational environment which will further help in delivering the objectives (Casc and et. al.,
2019).

The things that I have learnt during the learning sessions in my academic life are further
discussed below:
It helped me in developing my team working skills during the process as the university
gave us several project which needed to be performed in groups. Through this, I
developed team working skills which will help in terms of delivering the best results
within the organisation. With team work I can effectively manage the work and further
deliver the best results for the dedicated project. Through team working, the work can be
done in a productive manner which will directly help in increasing the efficiency and
effectiveness of work.
During the academic sessions I indulged in the number of research activities In order to
gather the reliable information in order to fulfil the project requirement. I improvised my
research skills by initiating the effective practices such as outsourcing the information

The academic sessions of my university helped me in determining the value that a
relationship holds in the life of an individual. This helped me in staying connected and
looking over the family and friends from a new perspective. I learnt that every one of

exist in the relationship. Through this the individual will be able to learn the support that
needs to be accomplished in the academic session. I have learnt that stress management played an important role in terms of bringing the
value of life. In the learning sessions I developed how to manage the complex situation
more effectively. Due to such development of skill will surely help me in my academic
and professional life.
Major Challenges
Time management was one of the major challenge which was faced by me during the
academic session. Managing the work, class schedule, homework, social life and
extracurricular activities. It is further difficult to manage everything in regards to the time
which is associated with the project (Leung, Famakin and Wang, 2019). Anxiety is one of
the primary component which leads to the face of the student and further delivers the
right set of objectives of the individuals. The anxiety that I felt during the test is
beneficial in terms of increasing the productivity and delivering the output. Through this
test the individual will be able to develop confidence and further use techniques to deliver
the important objectives.
One of the major challenge that faced by me during my academic sessions is regard to the
lack of note taking skills. As I wrote down the notes without even reviewing it.
Moreover, it happened with me several times that during my learning sessions, I didn't
takes the complete notes. Hence, these issues impacted my learning practises due to lack
of notes. Further there was an another major challenge that I faced during my studies was
regarding the presentation skills. I was unable to develop an effective practices to
represent my work towards the concern individual.

Opportunities
I have gone through several opportunities in my life time which will lead to enhanced form
of higher education in the world:
I got the opportunity to learn the ethical practises in order to fulfil the derived more
responsivity. I learned the concept of academic integrity through which I enhanced the
fairness and honesty in all my academic task. I developed the marking rubrics as well as
how to integrating other ideas in the self project. Moreover, I gain the reliable
information in regard to how to reference and paraphrase. During my academic module I also developed the critical thinking skills in my
personality. By the mentioned factor, in future I can evaluate my performing practises
more effectively. Further, it will assist me in the enhancing my personal growth ans
attaining the derived goals more effectively.
So What In the academic sessions I have developed good command over several skills
which will further help in managing the feedback that is given by people. I learned
critical thinking skills, learned how to complete the project more integrally. Moreover, I
also enhanced my research skills that will surely help me in order to collect the more
reliable information for my project. I exhibit strong command over the several skills but
still there are some areas which I need to assess in order to make the most out of it such
as note taking skills, and presentation skills. The strategies applied by the individual in
managing the challenges and further coming up with techniques that are helpful in terms
of increasing the growth prospects. It is essential for the individual to assess the different
seminars, lectures, presentation in order to enhance the process of learning and deliver the
maximum results (Perks, 2017). There are different sources of learning which are
associated with bringing most out of the situation.
What’s Next
By the use of reflective writing an individual will become clear in terms of setting targets
in life. Clarity is established with the desire in terms of determining the measurable and
specific areas which will further make it smoother.

further help in becoming distinct and clearing in terms of developing the strategies. They
also help in terms of overcoming the factor and further controlling.

can further help in developing a personal development plan which will help in
determining the short term, medium term and long terms goals. This will help me in
terms of tracking the accomplishments over the last years. This further helped me
determining the strengths and weakness which will further help in future.
One of the major soft skill that I used during the recruitment process was the ability to the
ways in which the organisation can solve the complex problems by subordinates or other
people within the organisation.
Another skill that was developed during the learning sessions was the ability to
communicate well and develop a condition which will help in terms of clearing the
context of the communication.
It is essential for the me to generate skills that will further help in terms of increasing the
growth prospects and further enhancing the process which will directly help in terms of
bringing most out of the work.
These mentioned skills will directly help in terms of bringing essential areas of

this I can take further motivational seminars which will directly help me in terms of
developing skills. The communication skills will help me in terms of increasing the
growth prospects as I will be able to directly communicate and bring clarity in the field.
In addition to this, by the use of stress management skill, I can easily manage the
complex situation in my future project task. The mentioned skill will assist me in order to
reduce my stress during the hectic situation as well as also facilitate me to become more

able to attain the objectives that is a good position in a multinational corporation.
