Reflection
When I was a child, I did not have the idea that one day I would writing this reflective
statement based on my experiences about the days that I have spent in college. It seems that it
has been a few days back that I started my BSc event management degree course from this
university and did not realize that time flew away and now I am standing in the corner of
completing my course and entering a new course of life.
When I decided to do a degree course on event management, I never had the dream of
joining such a reputed university. However, it was my privilege that I got selected in this
university and could complete my course in such a proficient manner. I had a wonderful
experience on my first day in the university because I was welcomed heartily by the faculty
members and the other seniors of the university and made me feel comfortable with respect to
the environment and the ambience of the university. I am a very introvert kind of a person but
the love and the care that I have received from this university, I have been able to open up and
have been able to interact with others with the help of which I have been able to attain various
kinds of ideas and knowledge with the help of which I have diversified myself.
I have realized that as time has gone by in this university I started becoming much more
competent and have been able to develop myself. My faculty members have been very much
helpful and caring and have been ready for assistance at any point of time when I needed
assistance. The extra initiatives and the workshops that have taken place within the university
have made me interact with several renowned individuals who have shared their experiences that
have assisted me in gathering confidence and making myself more competent in the real world.
After joining this university, I have been able to boost myself up and my eagerness to this this
subject has increased drastically. My seniors have been very supportive and they have even

shared their experiences. The practical sessions that have taken place within the university has
made us aware of the real life circumstances and with these experiences a better understanding of
the working environment has been attained. In certain circumstances, I was morally down and
was not able to perform according to my potential and therefore it affected my results. However,
the advices and the counselling sessions conducted by the faculties have been helpful in
improving my moral and thereby improve my efficiency of performance. I have witnessed a
drastic transformation in myself from the first day I have started my BSc course to the final year
and in this time period I have not only gained knowledge over the subject but have even
developed my personal skills. I can therefore say that my experience in this university has been a
motivational and inspiring one and have created a bonding with the university. I have gathered
sufficient knowledge with the help of which I will be able to perform my duties in the practical
life in a much more effective manner.
