INTRODUCTION
I have always believed that every challenge comes up with an opportunity to teach a person.
But these teaching and lessons are nit clear to everyone until there is sense of relation between
the two. Discussed in the report is reflection of the experience and learnings through the
understanding and application of study skills.
MAIN BODY
In our last assignment the application of study skills made me realised this fact. Study skills are
the methods and techniques that one applies at the learning in order to completely understand the
process and develop fine-tuned skills and knowledge of the learning process (Cottrell, 2019).
The project allowed us to work in groups, which seemed like an opportunity to learn more about
how a community function as a whole. Before to the event, working in a group felt like
everybody was throwing out ideas and the problem was solved in a matter of minutes, but the
truth is very different. Working in a community may be challenging at times because
participants' thoughts and perspectives cannot always coincide. Cooperation has taught me that
having different thinking and perspectives is totally normal, which is why working in groups is
so successful. I realised that having the idea of a deadline gave me a whole new perspective on
meeting deadlines in my life. In professional terms, I began to understand the value of strategic
planning in a business through the workings of the company (Barrable, Papadatou-Pastou and
Tzotzoli, 2018). Prior to this project, I used to believe that business was all about providing
better services and goods, but now I realise that it is also about locating or discovering the risks
involved, and then mitigating those risks by different methods. In the operation of a company,
there are both overt and covert risks.
I have to admit that the last few weeks have been immensely beneficial to me. Many new
methods and real-world applications of statistical tools have been taught to me through this
experience as the study skills is all about developing routine and practicing it for better and
effective learning. In my believe the process of learning and personal skill development has also

increased exponentially after the application of study skills. This is one of the most insightful
business courses I've ever taken. You deserve praise for your detailed planning and
comprehension of the concepts. The course was a lot of fun. A few key points come to mind as I
focus on my experience. The first is that lecture notes are extremely important in this class. After
reading the textbook for the first time, I often found myself confused about the subject. The
lecture notes frequently clarified things for me. The tutorial given in the first week of the course
would help students with minimal prior knowledge to advanced theories and activities, such as
myself (Mason, 2019). When I checked the solution suggestions that the educator posted after
handing in the assignments and projects, I gained a clearer knowledge. This method allows the
group to work on several tasks at the same time. Another valuable skill I learned while working
with the group was how to develop proper contact within the group and how to participate
effectively. That rejecting or finding flaws in a teammate's idea is not a negative thing; rather, it
is an important participation that aids the team and project in identifying factors which might
have impacted the company at a later point. Through these interactions, I've come to realise that
no one is constrained by the behaviours they practise or the attributes they lack. “The way the
programme was presented to the students was the most important takeaway from my experience.
Every day felt more like a combination of a career training, a leadership development
programme, and peer seminars than the key example of a workplace because of the breadth of
expertise the faculty provides each time they enter the classroom (Hyseni Duraku and Hoxha
2018). The insight I gained from this assignment has educated me for circumstances in the
workplace for which I was not expecting to be prepared, and it has accelerated my growth faster
than I've ever wished for, in less than a few weeks. My personal experience has taught me that a
person's behaviours and qualities are a feature of their personality and mindset. With enough will
and determination to succeed, everyone can make appropriate improvements while still learning
and improving skills.
Continuing with this mindset, I will not limit myself to the skills and experience that I have
acquired but will instead strive to learn and improve in both professional and personal terms. I
could go on and on about what I learned from the project in terms of business experience and
personal growth. Because of this skill, I was able to become a part of the lives of all those
individuals who had to tell me about their problems and difficulties, for which they were unable
to perform or show up at work, or for which they desired leave. (Sera and McPherson, 2019)

Since I often and usually adopted the theoretical approach, I sometimes overlooked their issues
and problems. This later made me realise that I was just leaving my sensitive side behind
because it was undermining the reputation, I had built through my hard work by not caring
enough for the people for whom I worked. The issue here, I realised, was that I wasn't helping or
leading the people who looked up to me. I quickly improved my leadership abilities and put them
into practise. Above all, I am grateful to the instructors for providing this platform to literally
explore the world study skills and learnings which I am passionate while growing and
developing. This project's lessons will continue to benefit me in both my professional and
personal lives, and I expect to achieve great things as a result of the experience.
