This report reflects on the impact of a workshop on the author's learning and professional development, particularly in the context of risk assessment and ethical considerations. The workshop provided valuable insights into the professional code of conduct, especially within the nuclear energy sector, and the importance of ethical boundaries in research and practice. The author highlights the significance of the Global Association of Risk Professional (GARP) guidelines and how they can be applied in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, the report emphasizes the development of skills in conducting risk assessments and adhering to legal and ethical boundaries, which is crucial for ensuring the health and safety of stakeholders. The author also acknowledges the importance of confidentiality in research and the ability to apply the workshop's lessons in practical situations.

Reflective Thinking
The workshop had significant impact on learning and thinking process. The knowledge I
gained from the workshop will further contribute both in my educational and professional life.
This have contributed in building a strong base of knowledge of professional code of conduct
related to my area of consideration as well as in the ethical grounds enlightening my knowledge
of ethics. This further helped me in developing my skills and competencies in my professional
field to undertake the risk assessment research for the chosen company. I can now better identify
the professional, legal or health and safety obligations necessary to follow for both conducting
the research as well as in the real world situation.
Risk assessment in the field of governance is important in every industry, especially in
the nuclear energy sector. This is due to the high level of risk proposed in the process of energy
production in the nuclear plants. The workshop further proposed for a number of ethical
considerations that is relevant to the field of energy production. These ethical considerations are
termed under the code of practice in the corporate governance. The business code of conduct for
governance in nuclear energy sectors makes it mandatory for the management to identify the
potential risks as it determines the health and safety of the stakeholders involved. I came across
of Global Association of Risk Professional in course of understanding the professional code of
conduct. The GARP proposes the business codes that are composed of three different elements
that are principles, professional standards and rules of conduct. The manager holding
responsibilities for risk management and corporate government is liable to follow these primary
codes for ensuring the health and safety of the stakeholders associated. This knowledge will help
me in my professional life to conduct the risk identification and management in accordance to
the proposed guideline.

2REFLECTIVE THINKING
The principles of ethics on the other hand introduced in the workshop enlightened my
knowledge of ethical responsibilities of an organisation in the field of operations. It is important
to hold the ethical boundaries for ensuring the interest of the individual stakeholders involved.
Ethical considerations for example in conducting the research work will help me in safeguarding
the interest of the respondents. It is necessary to safeguard the confidentiality of the informants
for holding their interest and avoid any harm that might have significant impact on the individual
involved in the research. Hence, confidentiality in this case is necessary.
This knowledge introduced to me through the workshop has helped me developing my
skills of conducting and presenting research. This furthermore developed skills necessary to
conduct risk assessment in the real case scenario as I can now follow the guideline proposed
during risk assessment and plan implementation for avoiding the identified risks. Moreover, this
will further help in considering the professional and legal boundaries in the process as it falls
under the ethical boundaries. As an Action manager it is my duty to follow the ethical
obligations of health and safety, which all together asks for the safety of the employees of the
company.
