INTRODUCTION
Self development is known as the aspect in which enhancement of various skills are
undertaken in order to understand self responsibility and achieving targets in prominent manner.
Knowledge and skills are having essential role in professional and personal life as these are
assisting path of overall development. This is being analysed that in order to groom an individual
requires high emphasis on their personal and professional requirements (O'Neill and McLarnon,
2018). Development of skills are helping an individual in attaining their pre defined goals and
career objectives in considerable manner. On the other side by recognising various development
opportunities success path can be created by them and that could be achieved by them in very
low time frame. By taking various training and development sessions development can be
adapted by an individual and this lead them to boost their personality as well. In the preset report
experience of individual within the process of presentation development is enumerated. This
report is written in reflective writing format and action plan is also associated by which personal
and professional development skills which are weak can easily be recognised and improved as
well.
TASK 1
I have worked in a group presentation in team which was part of my coursework. The
teams was introduced by my tutor and task was assigned by them only. The procedure of
development of presentation is associated with various activities which are performed during
process as we were required to perform various activities and some of the weak skills were
improved as well. Various questions within reflective statement are as under:
What have you learnt?
While working in team I came to know that I am weak at critical thinking and this
restricted me to think to far extent and to explain my thoughts to others. In personal manner I
realised that during this presentation I was not able to share my though with audience in the
manner which is required. In this presentation I worked with many people which enhanced my
team working skill, this is going to help me in my future and career capabilities. On the other
side I enhanced my systematic skill which enabled me to transfer information in different and
compatible manner. Similarly by working with various people helped me to enhance my level of
persistence by which my self esteem get increased in desired manner. This boosted my level of

difficulties in sharing my ideas. Due to this weakness I got nervous at the time of presentation
and during this time my tutor which helped me in numerous time over public speaking and
exploring various opportunities as well. These are rendering immense opportunities in
strengthening my weak skills. Critical thinking is the process which enable me to enhance level
of thinking, within this presentation I enhanced these skills due to which the message was altered
by me and conveyed in the same manner to (Mäkikangas and et. al., 2016). Communication is
having essential role in critical thinking and team work as with the help of appropriate
communication skills the mind set of critical thinking can be exerted in prominent manner.
Along with this in team work communication is highly appreciated as in team two way
communication is required and this enable the team to share their thoughts and ideas without
facing any problem.
What was interesting?
Along with this I was focused on critical thinking and collaboration skills by which I
excelled various skills in order to improvise my academic record in which clear data is being
represented by me. The major interesting aspect in whole the presentation was that there were
numerous topics which was given by my tutors. One of the most interesting form within the
presentation that I understood various dimensions of communication which developed my
effectiveness of skills within personal and professional development. This is helpful in excelling
more abilities in order to gain knowledge regarding various topics in concise manner. In
interpreting information I found proficiency as I was able to understand the given prospectus in
appropriate manner. During presentation my critical thinking was the part which helped me to
execute given task with my team in appropriate manner so that high understanding was drawn
out. Suitable understanding was developed by me and this developed high degree of
adaptiveness.

How might you use the new information?
By considering effective communication skills information is collected by me and these
were applied on various context of academic and professional context and these are based on
systematic and critical thinking. I have prepared presentation which is concerned on time
management skills due to which any redundancy is being eliminated. This skill is the most

required by individual that skill gap are minimised so that project can be completed on timely
manner. In addition to this knowledge level is helping individual to manage their life at balanced
manner so that skills can be used in proper manner. In order to make development in
professional life level of knowledge is required to be enhanced so that gaps can be filled and the

action plan development of this plan is highly required within effective format so that gaps can
be filled and knowledge can be enhanced. In action plan sequence of tasks are associated and in
order to improve various points individual is making changes in their personality so as to
become extraordinary from others. This is providing high support of various requirements and
