Research Project: Developing Reflexive Practice in Healthcare Settings

This report presents a research project focused on developing reflexive practice within a healthcare setting. The project explores the importance of self-awareness and its role in professional development. Part A establishes the aim of understanding triggers, emotions, and feelings, supported by theoretical directions on professional and self-identity, imagination, and experimental learning. Part B outlines the research methodology, including action research and art-based research, along with an analysis of personal data using the Johari Window and exploring personal data sources like learning style questionnaires and emotional intelligence surveys. Part C provides a critical incident analysis using Gibbs' reflective cycle to examine a specific healthcare scenario, highlighting the challenges and reflections of a healthcare practitioner. The project integrates theoretical frameworks with practical applications to enhance self-awareness and improve decision-making within a professional context.
