the inner capabilities and skills. By developing PDP, a person can create various growth

in his career by adding responsibilities and duties in his job. Therefore, the entire concept of
personal and development plan is all about the skills, learning, knowledge, capabilities of a
person (Esterhuizen, 2019).
Discuss short-term goals with three examples.
Short-term goals are the goals which must be acquired in the near future. These goals can
be set to obtain today, tomorrow, week, month and the next year. The achievement of short-term
goals can support and motivate a person to achieve long-term goals. When the short-term goals
are particular and actionable, it can be achieved in timely manner. These goals are such goals
that a person wants right away. Short-term aspirations are might seem small but it can motivate a
person for the bigger achievements in his work and personal life. In an organisation, setting
short-term goals can help a person for his career in order to become more productive and useful
in the company. It also provides the job satisfaction. To achieve short-term aspirations, an
individual first understand how to successfully set goals and then make a commitment to seeing
them through. Suppose a person want buy his dream house to live and for that cause he needs to
work hard and give him best in the company, so that he can be promoted and increment in salary
will help to complete his dream (Jack, Kinloch and O’Brien, 2019). To achieve higher position in
the company, he will need to work on his skills and knowledge. These goals act as a support to
achieve success. The following are some examples of short-term goals:
Improving one soft skills
Create a morning routine
Learning a new language
Discuss medium-term goals with three examples.
Medium-term goals act as a bridge between short-term goals that can be accomplished
and long-term aspirations that requires longer time to be accomplished. These goals take little
more time than short-term aspirations. Since long-term aims requires longer time frame to be
completed, medium-term aspirations acts as a motivation to take further steps towards
achievements. These are the aspirations that requires more than a year up to three years for the
completion. There are countless aspirations that can be achieved within minimal time. Such
goals can be taken as a motivation for the further achievements. In order to attain long-term
aspirations in a life, short-term and medium-term goals can be found as a stepping stone. These
goals are essential for a person and a company in order further achieve future goals. SMART
