INTRODUCTION
In health and care organisation, practitioner have several roles and responsibility
regarding the objective of organisation and toward patients. With health of high quality of cafe
services and treatment, health experts can improve health issues and health diseases. Risk
management, safety, quality is very significant aspect in the nursing practices through which
corporation can improve health issues and health promotion. The present study defines the
strategies to prevent or minimise future health issues by consider framework of health
promotion, quality, safety and risk management.
MAIN BODY
Registered nurse practice is person centred and evidence based with preventive, curative,
formative, supportive and palliative elements. Registered nurses works in the therapeutic and
professional relationship with individuals as well as groups, communities and families.
Registered nurses are responsible and accountable to the nursing and midwifery board of
Australia (Acton, 2013). Nursing and midwifery board of Australia standards, codes and
guidelines have main aim is to deliver effective and appropriate care services and treatment to
patients. Registered nurse required to continue to develop professionally and maintain their
capability for professional practices. It is very important to have adequate skill and qualities in
the registered nurses so as they can carry out all their responsibilities and role toward the
organisation as well as patients. By follow several frameworks and aspects such as quality
management, risk management, safety and security, health care professionals can easily deliver
high quality of care services and treatment to patients.
Role of registered nurse in mandatory reporting according to Standard in NMBA
Registered Nurse Standards for Practice (2016): Develops a plan for nursing practice
As per the NMBA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, there is major role of nurse in
mandatory reporting is to develop plan for nurse practices. In this standard, responsibility of
nurse is to develop a systematic nursing practices and plan for overcome child abuses (0-18 year
old). In this standard, they have responsibility to improve condition of children and overcome
elder abuse in the community, in nursing homes reporting law and domestic violence (Adams,
2007). By adopt the various practices regarding risk management, high quality of care services
and health promotion, nurses can easily overcome issues in the mandatory report. Effective
standard and practices of risk management and quality services will support nurses in deliver

excellent level of satisfaction to clients and manage healthy working environment. In the
mandatory reporting of nurse, develop the plan for nursing practice is effective practice and
standard by which they are responsible to ensure that each client has a nursing plan or care in
place that appropriately identifies priority problems, target outcomes and specifies nursing
interventions (Andrews, Reddy and Whelan, 2011). Registered nurse in the mandatory reporting
must have to follow all legislation and practices that has developed by government in order to
decrease children abuse in the community (Goodwin, Gruen and Iles, 2006). By design an
effective plan for nursing practices, nurse can easily follow all necessary regulation and
legislation regarding children abuse. In addition to this, health problems of the young people and
children can easily overcome by design a systematic plan for nursing practices.
Role of registered nurse in consent according to Standard in NMBA Registered Nurse
Standards for Practice (2016) :Provides safe, appropriate and responsive quality nursing
practices
On the basis of NMBA registered nurse standard for practice 2016 registered nurses plays a very
crucial role for promote health quality, manages risk and improve health issue in health and care
organisation. There are several roles and responsibilities of registered role in consent- Provide high quality of care services and treatment to patient- This the major role of
registered nurse according to the registered nurse standard for practice. They must have
to follow all imposed policies and practices that have framed for improve quality in the
health care organisation (Billingsley and Lang, 2002). Registered nurse provides a unique
set of clinical and management skills that are used to enhance the primary care team and
improve patient care in the hospital. In this aspect, they must consider and analyse the
cultural, legal and ethical considerations in caring for children and young people.
Registered nurse must have to focus on the ethics that has imposed by management for
deliver care services and treatment to patients. In addition to this, they also have to follow
imposed legislation and regulation that has imposed by government regarding health care
services and problem for young people and children. Registered nurse should follow the
regulation and legislation regarding patient safety, quality of care services, procedure and
practices within health care corporation so as they can effectively overcome children
abuse.

 Provide safe and responsive quality nursing practices- In the standard to provide safe
and responsive nursing practices, role of registered nurse in consent is to provide right
information regarding treatment to patient and family members (Fakhimi and Probert,
2013). They must have to focus on the quality and effectiveness of the treatment that is
delivered to patient. In this aspect, registered nurse has responsibility to ensure that the
consent form is signed by appropriate person like patient guardian, family member etc.
By implement and follow legislation and regulation, nurses can easily deliver safe and
secure care services and treatment to patients (Entwistle and Quick, 2006). In addition to
this, by follow several kinds of ethics regarding nursing, nurses can provide safe,
appropriate and responsive quality nursing practices to patients. Nurses should follow
ethics related to respect for autonomy, non-maleficence and beneficence etc.
CONCLUSION
From this entire report it has been summarised that registered nurses has several
responsibilities and role according to the registered nurse standard practices 2016. As per the
practices of nurse in mandatory report and consent nurses has role is to deliver safe, quality and
high standard services and care to patients. In addition to this, by design a nursing plan and
provide safe treatment, children abuse can easily overcome in the community.
