INTRODUCTION
Planning and initiation of any work is necessary part to complete the given task on time.
Every family, organisation or individual must have a plan for performing extraordinarily
(Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). In this report, the entire discussion will be related with preplanning
where different issues will take place and in that prospective who those problem can be solved in
order to perform as it was decided before. If this troubles can solved with appropriate solutions
then it might reduce the tension of Jeff and Kelly.
MAIN BODY
1. Overview of the entire case.
In this case, Kelly and Jeff are two adults who have to children named as Will and Lexie.
As Jeff have secured new position as a Marketing Director in Perth. At present, they live in
Sunshine Coast on rental bases where as in Perth they have decided to live in four bedroom
suburban house. They agreement to join new job is of 5th February, 2019 and in respect of that
they need to vacant their current flat on 20th January, 2019 and the date of shifting to new flat in
Perth is 27th January, 2019. Additional information which are provided to support the given case
is that, the children must join new school before 31st January where they must be on time.
According to this, Jeff & Kelly must manage all the challenges that are in between there target
and there budget is $15000 (max.).
2. Status of project detailing completions, slips and delays
In this case, Jeff & Kelly have been suffered from different problem because of that
unnecessary delays are taking place. The list of there issues are listed below:
 Australia has been hit by the worst flu and because of that Kelly is sick and will not be
able to undertake any task which are assigned where as doctor has given the advice to
have a bed rest for at least two weeks.
 The truck which is going to take all the belongings of Jeff and Kelly has been broken
down and it will take at least three days for its repairing work and because of this their
assets will be delivered by 30th January.
 There are limited flights as there is the celebration of Australian Day in Perth.

3. Implications of any changes made on the resources required to complete the project.
As this case is slightly on the tough side because of different complication so Jeff &
Kelly must think in a another way so they can achieve there target on time and for that they must
update their plans which were made before, with mutual consultancy. Some of the suggestions to
solve the the current problem are:
 As Kelly is ill and she must take the bed rest for at least two week. Jeff must plan where
Kelly can take bed rest and the best suitable place might be pan-guest or any hospital
which can take the responsibilities to have a proper look of Kelly.
 As removalist has already informed about the accident of truck and that will result in
delay. So, in this situation Jeff and Kelly can purchase new clothes as required and other
belongings will be there by 30th January.
 As they can't stay in that house after 27th January then they can plan to shift on 27th
January to Perth.
 There is a Celebration of Australian Day in Perth and because of that there are no
additional number of flights available so in this situation they can take the flight to
Geraldton Airport and then they can take roadway.
4. Details of all adjustments made to the schedule, and why you made these adjustments.
As there are different complication, they have made different changes according to
situation so new schedule should be made and they must be implement.
 Jeff must shift Kelly to new place- This adjustment should be done because it will help
her to per treatment as she is not in a condition where she can do travelling for long
duration.
 They must travel to Perth on 27th January and stay in low budgeted hotel- this adjustment
is done because it will reduce cost and as their children must join school by 31st January
so this will be easier.
 Must take the flight to Geraldton Airport- As there are no flights to Perth of because of
Australian Day Celebration so they can take the flight to Geraldton Airport as this is the
nearest airport to Perth city.
5. Personal reflection on the process.
In this report, I have understood how to solve different situation and how to tackle with
them. This report was itself challenge for me as given case was much and more complicated with

forced to put an extra efforts to achieve desire goal. But after completing this file I understood
what planning is actually all about and even it enhanced my general knowledge regarding case
studies.
6. Updated milestone plan.
As different situations are created and because of that every activity must be changed and
among them milestone is one. If they want to solve this complicated situation they must prepare
small target that must be completed on time (Kochetkov and et. al., 2015). This small target will
help them to reduce their cost as they have very less amount of budget which is separated for this
task.
Planning for Switching Job: In this plan, there is no need to update much and more and
they must stick on the same policy where Jeff will decide when to give interview and when he
must switch the job.
Planning for Relocation: In this plan, they must relocate which plan should be
implemented. Here, Jeff and Kelly will schedule when to shift in new place and what can be
done to reduce entire cost as keeping in mind regarding their budget.
Preparing the shifting process: In this task they can sell there furniture as truck is under
maintenances and it will increase there entire cost. They must plan to carry those things which
are important and easy to carry in luggage.
Shifting to Perth: This task will be most update among all because here Jeff need to
move Perth before Kelly. So, here the responsibility increases as he is alone with his children.
Jeff must take care of them and even he need to search school for his children.
Admission in school: In this, Jeff need to search and must select appropriate school
where his children will study. Now there will not be any role of Kelly in this process.
Joining as a marketing director: This task doesn't required to be updated as there are no
difficulties regarding this field.
Post Project analysis: In this task, now complete responsibility will be of Jeff where
need to manage all the cost which are incurred during this process.

CONCLUSION
On the basis of above project, it can be concluded that as they were preplanned about
their relocation but due to unnecessary obstacles they faced many problems. Also, how burden
transfers completely on single person just because of unwanted illness. There are different
milestones which were need to be updated keeping in mind that now every tasks should be
performed by Jeff only.
