ROLE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY IN THIS MODERN ERA 2 | P a g e
Introduction
The renewable energy is a kind of energy system that produces a large amount of
electricity from various resources, for example, solar, wind, tides, geothermal heat and
waves. In last few years the use of renewable energy has increased by 20% because this
process is more effective and it has the ability to generate a large amount of power. The
main objective of this research is to understand the fundamental concept of renewable
energy and the importance of this advanced power generation technique in this modern
generation. It provides energy or power in four different areas, for example, air, water
heating, electricity generation, and rural energy services. This research report is
explaining the key features of renewable energy, and a literature review will be
conducted to increase the effectiveness of this research study.
Literature Review
Renewable energies are referred to sources of clean, inexhaustible and increasingly
competitive energy. These sources are becoming popular as the demand for energy
increases across the globe. According to Halder et al. (2015), the importance of
renewable energy is increasing because of its environment related benefits. The
renewable energy sources are clean sources of energy which means that they did not
produce greenhouse gases and they also did not cause pollution in the environment.
Parag and Sovacool (2016) provided that the pressure on organisations globally is
increasing to use renewable energy sources in order to reduce their carbon footprint
and sustain the environmental resources. The renewable energy sources did not run out
like other finite sources such as fossil fuel which means that the renewable energy
sources will not run out and it will assist in ensuring that energy sources are available
for future generations. There are many other alternative benefits of use of renewable
energy as well which benefits the society. For instance, the increasing investment in
renewable energy sources resulted in creating new jobs for individuals, and it also
supports the economic growth of the country. In the modern era, unemployment is
becoming a significant issue which is adversely affecting the economic growth of many
nations. Thus, governments are encouraging, promoting and in many cases forcing

major corporations to take reasonable steps in order to use renewable energy sources
in their operations (Pollitt, 2012).
In most countries, electricity is generating with the help of renewable resources such as
solar and wind because it collects energy signals from the Sunlight which take very less
time rather than fossil fuels. Today, the uses of renewable sources are growing very fast,
and it is potential to reduce the greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere. Mongolia is
one of the best examples of a renewable energy system that uses wind process for the
generation of electricity and in which main three communities have provided funding
such as national renewable corporation of Mongolia, NRE laboratory of U.S., and UNFC
(Lehr, 2013). According to recent research, it is estimated that the use of wind energy
has increased by 30% between 2015 and 2017. The Enercon E126 is the largest wind
turbine which is developed in the year 2007, and it has the capacity to produce around
6 megawatts power. The world largest wind farm is located in Texas that contains
around 420 turbines and also generates 735 MW of power. This process is very costly,
and it is calculated that almost $50 billion was spent on the installation of turbine
worldwide (Stigka et al., 2014). Due to which few countries are able to adopt this
advanced technology, but it is very safe that reduced many greenhouse gasses like
carbon dioxide. The increasing number of greenhouse gases in the environment
resulted in causing climate change. Islam, Mekhilef, and Saidur (2013) provided that the
threat of climate change is continuously growing due to increasing pollution and
greenhouse gases in the environment. The glaciers are melting, and soon the earth will
filled up with water if appropriate actions are not taken by appropriate authorities to
address the issue of climate change.
In renewable resources, energy comes from the sun, and solar system can be used for
producing electricity in homes and rural areas. The light of sun resulted in warming the
water which started to dissipate; this warmth also affects other factors such as driving
breezes which assist in generating energy through wind turbines (Parag and Sovacool,
2016). The water which is evaporated by the sun transform into clouds which rains and
it is utilised to generate hydroelectric power. The expanding significance of sustainable
power source in the administration segment - and particularly in the travel industry -
has formed into another examination theme. A sustainable power source, obviously,
assumes a critical job in the travel industry, in numerous regards, and particularly in

connection to such issues as vitality proficiency, maintainability and cost decrease
(Pollitt, 2012). To date, nonetheless, no efficiently grouped survey of the writing
managing the subject has shown up, thus this investigation endeavours to fill this hole
in the writing by methods for a substance examination of the exploration distributions
concentrating on the utilization of sustainable power source in the travel industry.
Through a far-reaching survey of the writing, our examination distinguishes what is
thought about sustainable power source in the administration segment when all is said
in done and in the travel industry specifically, in spite of the fact that it is obvious from
this that investigation into sustainable power source in the travel industry is still at a
beginning period.
The world is quickly evolving, and the populating is proliferating, however, the
resources on the earth are limited. These resources are not enough to meet human
requirements and assist in their wellbeing and expansion. To address this issue,
renewable energy sources can be used which assist in avoiding wastage of natural
resources which could assist in meeting human demands. These methods assist in
sustainable development by ensuring energy security, climate change mitigation, access
to energy resources, social and economic development and decrease in ecological
factors and improvement in human wellbeing (Islam, Mekhilef, and Saidur, 2013). To
implement a sustainable approach, various power sources can be used by organisations.
Most of these power sources are associated with sunlight, for instance, hydroelectric
and wind power is affected by the difference in warming of the Earth by sunlight
because it assists in vaporisation of the water and speed of wind. The biomass vitality is
affected by sunlight as well which are important for plants. The power source which did
not rely on sunlight includes geothermal vitality which resulted in creating challenges
relating to radioactive corrosion because the warmth of the Earth is with affected by the
gravitational vitality (Halder, et al., 2015).
Conclusion
In conclusion, the role of renewable energy in modern era is continuously increasing
due to increasing issues such as scarcity of natural resources, climate change, increasing
pollution in the environment and others. The costs of using fossil fuel in businesses are
increasing rapidly which increases the importance of using renewable energy sources in

the business. The use of renewable energy sources assists in ensuring that enough
energy is produced to fulfil current and future energy needs of individuals and
organisations. The corporations can use different ways to use renewable energy such as
wind, solar and air power. Sunlight is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to use
renewable energy in organisations. The use of renewable energy reduces wastage of
resources which is crucial for sustaining the natural resources of earth to ensure that
enough energy sources are available for future generations. In modern era,
organisations should implement a sustainable approach in the business to ensure that
they use renewable energy in the business to benefit the planet.
