The issue raised
As per the received mail, the project needs to be online within three weeks as Western
Australia has been receiving a shipment that is worth high value for the organization, considering
the storage and the consumers’ needs and requirements. Missing this deadline will alternatively
influence the entire project and the stakeholders associated with the organization negatively. The
approaching shipment is necessary to be received as the next shipment will take 12 weeks. The
project and the involved stakeholders will be facing serious loss if the approaching shipment is
not received, through costing the overall revenue of the organization and the penalties those will
be implemented on the internal stakeholders.
Solution
The solution of this problem will be to manage the work percentage and the quantity of
the labors, those are assigned for the management of the repairing work necessary to complete
the respective jobs. The project is already lagging by ten days and we have only three weeks
more in which we have to complete the 31 days’ work. The schedule needs to be altered for
which no fund is being paid by the operational manager. The solution for this problem will be to
enhance the workload of the staffs involved in repairing or the alternative approach could be to
use the contingency amount for allocating more staffs. The work rate needs to be increased in
manner to regain the command over the project and deliver the necessary output within the
expected budget.
Alternative solution
The alternative solution for this situation will be to assign more staffs at the sites in
manner to increase the pace of the repairing without altering the benefits of the existing staffs.

This will allow smooth functioning for the repairing however, the budget might get altered as the
additional staffs will have to be paid. During the budget planning, a contingency plan has been
set that can be utilized for paying these additional staffs. This will be helpful in delivering the
project within your expectations and finally meeting all the needs and requirements of the
stakeholders and the organization. The quality of the project will also be enhanced if every staff
delivers the project as per his or her capability. The overburden and overwork can be eliminated
through this approach thus, ensuring standard delivery of the project. Thus, unnecessary efforts
can also be eliminated through this effort and management of the project could be improved to
standard level, ensuring exact delivery of the project.
