Introduction
In academic setting, it is really imperative to follow appropriate practices that are
favorable for both students as well as whole institutions. Academic integrity is related with
following norms, rules and regulations so that all the activities can be undertake efficiently.
Here, it is ensured that all the academic functions are performed in proper way. Here, rules are
formulated by university administration so that behavior of staff members and students can be
regulated. In addition to this, academic integrity aims to prevent inappropriate behavior in
academic setting. With academic integrity, it is possible to facilitate value in education. It helps
in carrying out different activities in regulated way. Apart from this, academic integrity is crucial
in order to maintain dignity and value of degree. It contributes towards well-being of whole
society by regularizing business practices in an efficient manner (Tourish, 2019). Main aim of
present study is to understand significance of academic integrity. It also includes implication of
academic misconduct. Further steps of game development and obstacles faced during the process
are also covered in the following report. Lastly, there is a reflection based on skills developed
during the game.
Section-1
Academic integrity
It is the fundamental principle of academic setting which is related with performing all
the academic related tasks in fair and systematic manner. It is expected from teacher as well as
students that they perform academic activities with fairness and honesty. With this, it is possible
for staff members and students to develop new and creative ideas. In academic integrity, there is
emphasis to give credit to responsible person. In order to maintain integrity in academic setting,
rules and regulations are formulated by Universities. It is the responsibility of staff and students
to work as per the laid rules in order to maintain better atmosphere within educational
institutions. In this context, certain pillars of academic integrity are mentioned below:
Honesty: As per this principal, teachers and students are required to perform their
activities with sincerity. All other pillars have some association with the principle of honesty. It

is stated that honest people perform their work with great proficiency and in fair manner (Lee
and et. al., 2019).
Trust: It is identified that trust helps in building as well as strengthening relationship. It
is considered as the foundation of strong relationship. It helps in developing such a system
wherein all the members can do their work with utmost efficiency. Trust is found where policies
as well as structure are fair and systematic.
Fairness: It is associated with trust. It is expected by each and every person that they are
judged as well as evaluated as the same standards on which others are being evaluated.
According to this principle, students can trust on their professor about fair evaluation.
Respect: This principle allows all individuals to share theire view point, opinions,
thoughts without any hesitation. Here, students can depict respect by listening thoughts of their
teachers whereas teachers can also show respect by listening the ideas, thoughts of students so
that they do not feel degraded (Soltes, 2019).
Responsibility: It signifies understand the own roles and responsibility and take suitable
actions accordingly. As per this principle, each and every person is required to perform own
work with integrity and also encourage others to do their work with same level of integrity.
Additionally, academic integrity starts with individuals and then put positive influence on entire
community (Brasil and et. al., 2020).
Importance of Academic integrity
Academic integrity helps in maintaining the entire process of education and learning
systematically. It enhances value of degree so that students have scope to get better employment
with the degree. If university follows the norms of academic integrity, it helps in maintaining
prestige of respective institution in market. It improves dignity of degree so that it can recognize
in market place. Following academic integrity minimized the academic misconducts. With this, it
is possible to maintain high reputation of college amongst learner. Therefore, it allows university
to enroll more and more students (Levitt and et. al., 2021). Here, students also got the
opportunity to learn under the guidance of fair, honest and responsible teachers that is crucial to
successfully achieve the life goals. Additionally, academic integrity helps to get the recognition
to author for their creation as it minimizes the inappropriate practices such as cheating,

plagiarism and more. With academic integrity, students and teachers get inspire to develop
innovative and creative ideas for inducing enhancement within the field of education. Further,
academic integrity is useful in maintaining trust among all the individuals who are working
together. It also strengthens the bond of teachers and students. Academic integrity is crucial to
ensure that students not only attain course objectives but also meet or exceed with set standards.
Following academic integrity prepares students for future career pathway. As a result, they get
ready to perform all the future tasks with integrity. Therefore, it prepares students for future
growth and enrichment with fair practices.
Implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is related with getting involved in unfair and inappropriate
practices. It might hamper the academic practices and also negatively affect the result of
students. There are strong implications against academic misconduct. In this context, certain
general implications are outlined below:
 There are some steps such as fines, penalties, loss of future projects can be taken against
the individual who are involve in inappropriate practices in academic setting. It not only
influences the career of students but also affect prestigious of university adversely.
Additionally involvement in academic misconduct can have the serious implications that
might ruin entire career of students (Pfeiffer, Bezzina and Wernbacher, 2021).
 Involvement in academic integrity might have major implications that lead a student
towards suspension and rustication from university. After the rustication, it is not
possible to get admission in any other college or university. Therefore, the whole career
of student is on stake due to academic misconduct.
 Implications depend on level misconduct. If misconduct is related with copying the
assignment, it can have the implication such as redo the assignment and failure in
particular project. Here, implications completely depend on norms of college that might
differ from one college to another.
 Academic misconduct can also lead towards loss of intellectual property. Plagiarism is
about stealing the work of some other person and uses it without acknowledging the
efforts of author. Here, individuals use the creation of author with the consent of same

person. It not only hampers intellectual rights but also harm the existing image of author
(Timmermans and Bertrand, 2019).
 Students who involve in such activities get guilt which can lead them towards depression,
anxiety and stress. It ruins their career, image as a result students get highly affected and
can take serious steps such as suicide. Therefore, Academic misconduct also has personal
implications.
The above information shows that academic misconduct might have serious implications
such as rustication from college. It will put devastating impact over career of students. It is
identified that academic misconduct has legal implications such as fine and more. If, the
misconduct is not major then it has minimum implications like redo of assignment and project
work.

Discuss steps of game development and also stated the difficulties encountered while producing
game
Steps of game development
 Firstly, I go through with the brainstorming process so that I can develop suitable game.
In current scenario, I developed game related to cards. In this step, I also determined
suitable norms to play the game.
 In the next step, I invited some students so that I can test the game at initial level. I
recoded the feedback of those students that will help me in order to improve the whole
game for getting predefined results in an efficient manner.
 When I received positive response from students, I decided to launch the game and
marketed it well so that I can ensure maximum participation in game.
Difficulties in game development
It is not easy to develop a suitable game. It is important to have an appropriate idea while
producing a game. For this purpose, I need to invest a lot of time in brainstorming process. I also
undergo with detailed and in-depth research so that I can come up with a suitable idea of game
development. This research was really extensive thus I need to invest huge resources as well as

time. During research, I need to work round the clock in order to bring efficiency in my game.
For this purpose, I tried to put all the necessary aspect which are required for a better and
effective game. Developing a game is not enough; it is also vital to market it well so that people
get to know about the feature of game. I undertake crucial steps in order to promote the game. I
also faced challenges in attracting significant number of students towards game. Additionally,
maintaining the game in an appropriate condition was also a major challenge for me. I need to
analyzed the performance of game and take suitable steps for further betterment and
enhancement. Therefore, I faced ample of challenges during the entire process of game
development. However, my dedication and assertive attitude helped me in getting success with
the process of game development.
Skills developed during semester and process of game development
In current time, skills are really important in order to get success in academic setting. It
helps in attaining milestones in professional career. In addition to this, skills also prepare an
individual to embark new achievements in career pathway. I have participated in various
activities during semester that allowed me to develop leadership skills. During activities, I used
to act as a team leader where I used to guide, lead other team members. In addition to this, I also
resolved the queries, problems of my team members. This leadership experience will help me in
performing assigned work at work place in well-define manner. I also developed management
skills while studying in semester. Management skill is integral to manage different tasks in an
appropriate way. I used to manage ample of tasks during semester that prepare me for future
managerial task in an efficient manner. This skill will help me in making positive image in front
of my managers and seniors at work place. In terms of game development, it helped me in
developing positive attitude. It prepared me to face future obstacle with great enthusiasm and
passion. While producing game, I went through with a lot of challenges that helped me in
developing positive attitude towards challenges. Apart from this, I also developed
communication skills while engaging in the process of game development. Here, I used to
interact with a lot of people. It allowed me to conquer over my fear of public speaking. As a
result, now I am able to communicate with other people in an impressive way. This skill also
enhanced my performance at work place. Therefore, I developed a lot of skills, knowledge
abilities during the whole semester and process of game development. These skills will play a
crucial role in my career growth in future period of time.

Conclusion
It is concluded with above mentioned points that higher education is really vital to get
better employment. It is analyzed that academic integrity is a practice that is related with
following appropriate practices in academic setting. It is summarized that getting involve in
academic misconduct can have different implications like fines, redo of assignment, suspension
and more. There is discussion regarding steps followed in game development along with the
difficulties faced while developing a game. It is concluded that I have been developed a lot of
skills during the semester.
