INTRODUCTION
Professional Career Development is defined as the improvement through training and
learning to make advancement in the career (O’Reilly, McMahon and Parker, 2020). It is the
design which helps in proving the start of the career development and planning stages at large
scale.
Thus, the report in Task 1 will analyse how the job description is being framed and is
denoted for the role-play which will be framed within the report. Further, person specification
will be drawn and will be analysed which will address to the aspects of what is the role of person
undertaken within the role-play. The sample for job advert will also be framed which will depict
and will draw the major points of how the job advert is framed. The job selection process will
also create value for the job role of the manager at the XYZ company in an appropriate and
detailed manner. There will be detail analysis of all the aspects and points which will be drawn
below for understanding the job role. In task 2, the recruitment and selection process will be
determined and explained in appropriate manner. These are some major points which are to be
addressed, and they constitute how effectively the reflection will be framed and this will address
to being at the major position of being a manager of the company XYZ. Further and lastly, PDP
is framed to analyse the weaknesses along with the strategies which will be drawn.

Job description-
This is the statement which depicts the detail about a job in an organization so for
carrying out the job efficiently. So such all information of the job is presented in this document.
The document describes the job so the organization can form its policies in order to deploy the

Location of the job: Will be working at the head office of the organization. Place of work may

needed in modern management is ability to accept adaptions. In my reflection I found that I am
having such qualities, skills which would pave way for achieving my goals such as my
knowledge of the subject, good and corporative attitude, ability to learn the things faster and the
biggest thing what I believe is salient skills of mine is quality of recognizing business

Some aspects I found were missing in my practices such as communicational skills and
technological knowledge such as using different tools an application, time management was no
as good as it should be, without these skills ones can not perform better both as a learner or as a
professional.
Working as a manger is not an easy task on daily basis there are range of such issues a
manger faces so my knowledge with respect to discrimination, disability matters and inclusion
offers me wide window to perform my task efficiently. In any organization this is duty of a
manager to eradicate all forms of discrimination such as race, caste, creed, gender, age,
nationality, language etc. people who are having any disability must be given equal opportunity
to prove them. For marking up these aims inclusive practices is being followed where aspects
which can bring all people together under single umbrella are promoted, so my knowledge with
this regard would help on work place.
Readiness for employment-
There are some set of attitude, skills, knowledge, aptitude, emotional intelligence are
needed which assure that a person is ready for employment, As I found in my reflective practice
that there are many of such aspects I am bearing which uphold the notion of my readiness for
employment.
My potential of self management, deep understanding of the academic knowledge, good
way of managing stress, understanding market dynamics make me ready for the employment yet
there are some areas where I am not much good and having need to surge the performance for
instance my poor communication, lack of leadership skills, improper time management, and
lower level of research skills are hindering the way of my employability.
As I have experienced many aspects specifically while playing the role when I was asked
about my extra abilities which separate me from others and uphold my conviction of being a

For being a good manager I have formed my own SMART goals of life. My goal of life
is Specific, I just want to be a manager who lead organization efficiently, for measurement of the
goals there are multiple parameters I can abide with. For instance can measure my growth and
get reviews from others, the aim of being a good manager is Attainable since I am pursuing the
management course and having good academic background as well which would help me ahead.
The goal is Realistic in nature, cause I have acquired such experiences too like during the class
projects I have shown my ability to lead others and manage complex tasks in attempt to ace
bigger, so I believe that the goal of life is realistic, the fact can not be ignored that the goal must
be achieved in a particular time span so as it is planned to be achieved as quick as possible.
Learning styles-
My learning styles are very versatile in nature I keep using different methods to make the
learning concepts and content receptive to me. For instance, I generally prefer visual style so can
memorize the content for longer (Dinham, 2021.) Reading is another element which is very
productive in nature, for achieving the goal of being a good manager it is essential to read
different books so can enhance my knowledge of managing business operations and human
resources too.
I am the person who also uses social observation approach too, cause management is the task
where a person is needed to observe the circumstances and then making decision in order to
encounter potential trouble makers. My skills with this regard allow me to thrive with my
learning intentions. As there are multiple types of such learning styles which are suitable for
different types of people due to individual differences in term of human skills. I keep using new
styles as well so can find the most suitable one.
Motivational theories-
For keeping myself motivated I use different things like reading books, making
adventures visits timely, giving myself challenges and fulfilling them, but I found that as a
human being we are having our different needs which motivate us. As McClelland's
achievement motivation theory suggested (Demmans Epp, Akcayir and Phirangee, 2019) that

there are three main driving forces which are behind motivation of a human being. These forces
are affiliation, power and achievement. So in my case as I have found while going through
reflective practise that achievement is the driver which motivates me the most, for being
motivated I give myself some challenging tasks and deadlines too then strive to grab them in the
least time which motivates me. Other aspects life power and affiliation are also key factors and
due to dedication and rigorous nature of learning new, such elements are also being experienced.
Personal strengths and areas need improvement-
My personal strengths include strong commitment towards my profession, I believe in
running after just my aim which is cemented in my mind. Other aspects like my ability to lead
myself in order to achieve mutual goals, in communication there is peril in the performance yet
using feedbacks appropriately for self development is being practised well. Self motivation,
strong work ethics and personal life moralities, creative perspective and not taking steps back in
tough times are my personal strengths.
On the other side some areas which need improvement are also found. For instance my
poor communication is the biggest obstacle in my career path, other aspects what I found while
going through role-play is lack of proper research skills, management of time is another weak
zone which hindered the way and some extra black sides consist poor leadership. Leading myself
for any project is an easy task but when it comes to lead other I feel challenging.

Recruitment and selection-
The roles I have played have been wonderful, in the class where with my fellow students I
carried out the task of interview.
The description of the experience of role was very dynamic (Pazhoman and Sarkhosh,
2019) firstly I played role of an interviewer then became interviewee where I was supposed to
perform my hypothetical task with proper diligence. Firstly I have been played role of an
interviewer where the fellow student had applied for marketing manager post, latter I replied
questions as interviewee who applied for manager post.
The feelings of my role-play is unique in nature while going through the role of
interviewer I have closely observed my ability to ask questions and influencing interlocutor
whereas I have also enjoyed being asked questions too. I am feeling motivated and positive about
my work as an interviewee, yet I feel like I have used some data and information without proper
research so ability to dive deeply in pertaining issues is very much-needed for me.
I have seen my work closely while evaluating my performance I found myself
incompetent in a few areas like my communication while replying as an interviewee was not
much good at the same time while asking questions as an interviewer I have done it well. Other
aspects like my level of knowledge, factual information knowledge, were good yet the way it had
to be delivered was not satisfactory.
If the entire role is analyses then to my mind there have been some areas where strong
need of improvement like- I need to work on my time management, communication and ability
