First, the book was one of the most interesting present-day readings I have come
across in a long time. We can now use many avenues and devices to reach not only people in
our local church community but also those outside the local church.The three trends that
interest me that was brings a wealth of knowledge: Culture, Faith and Leadership.
1. Summary:
Section One Media: Trending in Culture
Culture covers mindset and movements within the broader public, from the inter to
the voting booth. Various cultural trends have demanded the Christian leaders to annihilate
global dexterity. This, however, has remained to be an uphill task. The leaders who endeavor
to survive within the onset of the emerging trends need to change their approach, strategy and
plan towards their congregation. One of the emerging trends in Online as the new default.
People used to go to physically go to church to hear the message or listen to music. The
advancement of technology by the introduction of WiFi and smartphones enables the people
to follow church proceeding via their gadgets.

The emergence of the new trend has led to wet cement conversations where the leader’s
thoughts are left open for reconsidering, rethinking and reshaping. Leaders are bound to
reconsider their methods if they are to preserve the Christian mission. As a result of the new
trends, leaders have adopted the technology and most of them conduct their services online.

One of the recommendations is to use new media stations and social media. The people
have the right to know the truth in the news media I would “encourage the consumer to

Most of the people in Christian religion use the term belief and faith interchangeably. It
turns out that faith is the assurance or substance of the things that are hoped for but have not
been received. The practices which are trending in faith include the rise of secularization. The
importance of religion has been weakening over the years. Religious beliefs have stopped
guiding the daily behaviour of the people. People have preferred devoting back to
government and society.

The main implication of secularization on Christian leaders is the separation of Christian
authority from the political authority. Therefore, Christian leaders are segregated and
sidelined in the policy-making processes in the country. They are never consulted on national
issues. Secularization tends to create a wall between the church and the state. Under
secularization, society is characterized by the diminution of religious beliefs. The religious
leaders fail to use religion to explain some natural causes of things.

Religious leaders ought to consider popularizing religious conservatism. The religious
leaders need to consider increasing and expanding the various Baptist denominations and
evangelical organizations. The corrupting influences of modern life can be combated by
returning to the teachings of religious and bible spirituality. Christian leaders need to consider
subscribing to these beliefs. By adopting religious conservatism, their influence will grow
and expand and this will demand the political authority to consult and engage them in

Section Two Practices: Trending in Leadership
Leadership is considered as a role of influence. Leaders in religious settings tend to
influence the congregation and followers towards a particular religious course. There various
leadership trends that are practiced in a church setting. One of the trends includes the
continuous replacement of autocratic leadership by transformational leadership. Paternal
leadership is emerging as an unattractive practice among the millennials. Additionally, the
practice of learning through artificial intelligence, gaming, online courses, and virtual reality
is a new trend in leadership. Additionally, there is a new growing trend among religious
leaders whereby they are encouraging several organizational visions to be built around one
mission.

The adoption of transformational leadership demonstrates the will and need of leaders to
improve and also transform their leadership style while at the same time helping other people
to transform their lives. Transformational leadership has brought on board all types of people
including the millennials leading to growth and expansion of Christianity.. Through building
one mission from different organizational visions, Christian leaders can focus on specific
versions based on multi-congregational and multi-ethnic aspects. The online study has
enabled Christian leaders to acquire more leadership knowledge and skills with ease of
accessibility.

Religious leaders ought to consider adopting the changing trend in leadership styles by
shunning autocratic practices and becoming more accommodative by transforming and

the benefits of information technology, Christian leaders need to acquire digital facilities that
can support their online learning.
