INTRODUCTION
Events are defined as mechanisms that allows interaction between the document's
elements and some events related to the system and user's actions. Events that are conducted at
world level means involvement of various countries involved these type of events are described
as global events. Participation of all the countries in the event helps in establishment of good
relationship that is required to maintain healthy relationship. London's Excel Exhibition Centre is
one of the event management organisation which has already hosted many international events.
The organisation have seen success of Olympics Venue 2012 and to understand current market
several information is required by the business (Billings, 2018).
This project report is based on the described information regarding global events and
event industry. This report will include diversity of the event industry, including its structure and
place of different type of events within society. Factors that influenced the development of the
events industry on both a local and global level. Evaluation of the key factors that have
influenced the development, structure and organisation of the entire industry. Essentials for
successful planning of specific events is mentioned in the report.

1. Diversity of the global event industry and place of different types of events
Events are organised in current market scenario for various festivals, parties, business
ceremony, sports and for entertainment. A team of experts managing all the activities to make
the event successful is involved and they are termed as event managers or organisers. Managing
big events is performed by a well established event management organisation as they are more
efficient to perform all the activities with large team (Burson and Wright, 2015). Organisation
events at global level such as Olympics is performed by Excel Exhibition Centre in a successful
manner. Event possess diversity on the basis of size that are described as-
Local or community events: Events that are performed at regional level. These events if
of civic, political, public or educational nature. City festivals and circus and other public events
are covered under community events. For example- Celebrating Christmas at some heritage
place will be a community event.
Major events: Events that will generate more vehicular traffic which is capable of
occupying more than the aggregate number of visitor parking space within the authorised

department will be termed as major events. For example- A speech by President of the country
will be a major event.
Diversification of events on basis of forms-
Cultural events: Culture differs of two nations, religion, area, cast etc. Events are
organised on the basis of a particular culture is termed a cultural events (Cvetkovich, 2018). In
these events priority is given to one culture and all the operations are performed by considering
traditions of the culture only. For examples- Events for Divali, Christmas, Eid all belongs to
different culture.
Music events: This involves a concert oriented towards live performance in front of
audience is performed by singers and musicians. Organisation of these events is done on the
basis of which form of music will be played their like Sufi, jazz, folk, raping etc. All the
management relating to stage, lightning needs to be matched with the music to make it a
successful event by Excel Exhibition Centre.
Sports events: A multi-sport event is an organised sporting event held over multi-pal
days featuring competition in many different sports among organized terms of athletes. These
events are governed by recognised body of sports. Certain huge sports events are Olympic
games, World Cup for different games and Asian games etc.

Event Organisations: Organisations that performs event management operations at
small scale is performed through event organisations. Their are several events that keeps on
going on day-to-day basis. Appointing a large company for this will be expensive so the small

Event management companies: This industry of event is managed and governed
through event management organisations. These organisations is a group of professionals who
has learned how to manage and perform various activities to manage an event and make it

of society is highly influenced through events that are operated all over the world. When events

public towards fashion, music which can totally belongs to some different culture. Events
relating to god, worship and festivals helps each individual to follow culture and generate belief
in god (Getz and Page, 2016). Events relating to sports and business gives society entertainment
and together with this importance to sports is provided and drag interested athletes to work hard
and represent nation in global sports at world level.

Growth and emergence: It is seen that global industry is increasing tremendously at

operated at global level are funded through various sponsors so that all the management activities
are of high quality (Lundgren and Evans, 2017).
Technology: This factor plays an important role in arranging all the activities and their
performance. Involving technology in event management brings ease in performance of various
activities. Technology enhances connectivity all over the world and services can be provided
