INTRODUCTION
Success is an important aspect for every individual and in order to be successful,
it is important to possess the right knowledge as well as creativity (Ayllón, Gómez and
Ballesta-Claver, 2016). If a person wants to be successful, he/she should adopt and
follow various methods like avoid plagiarism, develop effective communication skills-
both verbal as well as written, reading skills, paraphrasing, group formation etc.
Creativity on the other hand, helps in developing new ideas and approaching a problem
in an effective manner. This is because new and innovative ideas can be developed and
implemented in an efficient way. The report explains the rationale, and reasons behind
the choice of material used.
MAIN BODY
Plagiarism
It can be defined as using someone else’s ideas or work and presenting them as
own, without even acknowledging that person. Some colleges and universities consider
plagiarism as a serious offence and might expel the student (Consequences Of
Plagiarism, 2020). This can not only affect the individual’s academic rapport, but also
professional growth. It can also result into penalties, fines and even in legal actions in
severe cases. Sometimes, plagiarism can lead to a permanent expulsion of an
individual from their academic institution. The internet has led to an increase in the rate
of people using someone else’s work and presenting the same as their own.
Communication Skills
Communication skills are important and enable people to communicate important
information with others effectively (Brečka and Červeňanská, 2016). Good
communication skills are essential in order to understand information in a more accurate
and enhanced manner. On the other hand, if a person will have poor communication
skills, it will lead to creation of misunderstanding among people. This can further impact
the overall performance and productivity of the individual in a negative way.

This is an important skill that is needed in order to deliver an engaging and
effective presentation. In order to deliver a high-quality and interesting presentation, it is
important for the speaker to have knowledge about the topic that is being presented as
well as the audience (Dong and et. al., 2017). A person can develop presentation skills
by practice and attending other presentations to deepen knowledge regarding the same.

(Time Management Skills: Definition and Examples, 2020). They also help in reducing
overall stress.
Reflection
The primary purpose of writing reflection is to help an individual to learn
something from an experience. The author or person who writes the reflection informs
the readers about their ideas or learning about a particular topic or experience. Kolb’s
Learning cycle as well as Gibb’s Reflective Cycle are examples of models that can help
in writing a reflection.
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
A CV is a document that is created by an individual in order to present their
qualifications, background, skills and accomplishments. It is basically presented in order
to get the desired job (Groza, Locander and Howlett, 2016). A CV that is effectively
developed in detail can impress recruiters because it acts as first direct communication
with them. While sending out a CV for a job, it should always be updated and contain
recent experience of the person.

and knowledge of the topic before paraphrasing it.

interact and share knowledge with each other (Holford, 2019). There are two types of

of a group helps the members in learning new skills and gaining knowledge from each
other.

employable. The different employability skills are teamwork, communication, self-
management, planning, organizing, knowledge of technology etc. If a person possesses
these skills, they can get a desirable and high paying job. Effective employability skills
can make an individual stand out from the other people (Employability Skills: Definition
and 10 Examples, 2020).

university or college. Academic integrity is highly important because it demonstrates
that others can trust the individual. Apart from this, it is also important because it adds
value to the person’s degree (Kohon, 2018). A person can demonstrate academic
integrity by being honest, sincere and respecting other people’s work.

communication skills, both verbal as well as non-verbal, reading skills, presentation
skills, academic integrity, active listening etc.

audience finds engaging and interesting (Shalley and Gilson, 2017). Communication
skills, both verbal as well as written, ensure that an important message or information is
delivered efficiently. But if a person lacks effective communication skills, it can lead to
the message being interpreted in a wrong sense. In order to develop effective

qualified for. Various opportunities should be provided to the students so that they
develop employability skills (Brečka and Červeňanská, 2016). These skills will also be
helpful for them in getting a high quality and desired placement. Academic integrity
means to be honest and sincere towards one’s work. Also, recruiters seek individuals
with high integrity because they are the ones who will perform effectively and help the
company in achieving desired goals. Reading skills are another important skill for
individuals to possess because they help in enhancing the overall levels of imagination
and creativity. Lastly, people who are active listeners are considered to be effective
communicators because they attentively listen to what is being said and then respond to
the same.
