INTRODUCTION
Personal Development Planning refers to the use of different types of methods and
techniques for the purpose of ensuring that the development in the future can be ensured
(Ambarita, Destini and Septiawan, 2020). Therefore, for the students it is quite important and
should be done by them. In this report, a detailed and specific focus will be made on making the
use of Personal Development Planning so that the management of the needs and requirements of
the customers can be done in a proper manner quite effectively and efficiently.
MAIN BODY
Scenario- I am a student currently pursuing my studies. As a part of our curriculum, it is
quite essential that we are able to undertake the Personal Development Planning which will thus
help in ensuring that we make the right progress in our Academic Career. Thus, for this purpose
we have to learn about the importance of preparation of a Personal Development Plan to attain
the future goals and objectives.
Task One
Concept of Personal and Professional Development- It refers to the overall
development of a particular person which can be done in the future so that increase in efficiency
and effectiveness can be done and therefore in this way management of the needs and
requirements as a student is done (Griban and et.al., 2020).
Value of Short-term goals- These goals are valuable because through them a student can
make sure that he/she is able to make relevant progress in the short-term which will be quite
useful (Liu, 2020). The examples of these goals are-
Problem-Solving Skills- These skills are quite important because they help in the
assessment of the various types of problems and ensuring that they can be solved quite
effectively and efficiently which will thus be quite helpful for the organizations.
Critical Thinking Skills- These skills are necessary for the organizations because
through making their use the analysis of the problems can be done and thus a proper
solution can be found in the right manner.
Communication Skills- Development of these skills will be quite important because this
will help in ensuring that the communication can be done in a right manner with the
different types of people.

Value of Medium-term goals- It is important that the development of these type of goals is
done by a student so that the development of the own personality can be done in a proper manner
(Lv, Qiao and Verma, 2021). The examples of such goals are-
Teamwork- It is necessary that the development of teamwork can be done so that the
necessary cooperation and coordination with the team members can be carried out.
Organization skills- It is also necessary to develop such skills so that the proper and
effective management of the organization's functions and processes can be carried out.
Attention to detail- It is crucial that its development is done so that the proper
management of the work can be done. This will lead towards better management of the
different types of resources.
Value of Long-term goals- It is crucial that the development of these goals is done by a student
so that the attainment of sustainable level of success can be carried out quite effectively and
efficiently (Polydoros and Alasona, 2021). Thus, the proper management of the long-term needs
and requirements of the students can be carried out. The examples of such type of goals are-
Negotiation and persuasion skills- These skills are quite important and necessary
because through them the better negotiation and persuasion with the people can be done.
In this way the students can manage their needs and requirements appropriately.
Leadership skills- These skills are necessary because through their development the
followers can be guided and thus the goals and objectives can be attained in the future.
Confidence- It is quite necessary that its development can be done in the right way.
Thus, it is very important that the development of confidence can be done so that the
overall needs and requirements can be fulfilled.
Value of Personal Development Plan- The value of a Personal Development Plan is there due
to the reason that the enhancement in the overall level of own efficiency and effectiveness can be
carried out which will therefore be quite important and crucial. Therefore, it is highly important
that the proper use of this plan should be made for the attainment of higher marks in the
Academic Subjects at the University Level (Resch and Schrittesser, 2021). The Personal
