SOCIOLOGY
Introduction
The discussion of the different social issues, automatically brings the term “Poverty”
in one’s mind. The recognition of any kind of issues by a large group of people in the society
can be termed as Social Issues. Poverty is the largest social issue that is faced by most of the
countries of the globe. The following report has highlighted Poverty in a much detailed
manner and has also discussed the various aspects and perspectives that underlines poverty in
a proper and efficient manner.
Establishment of Territory
Poverty as said earlier is the largest social issue that has a huge impact on the
conditions of the present day population. The poverty of low wages and the presence of poor
working conditions in most of the different countries of the world is often considered to be a
hidden factor in the poverty debate. The deregulation of the employment laws and the
implementation of the new patterns of employment has caused a serious change in the profile
of the workforce leading to the growth of poverty.
The earlier research on poverty has shown that the factors that leads to poverty are
totally out of control of the individuals and these issues tend to produce serious consequences
to the society. As per the previous research it has been observed that poverty has a serious
impact on the health of the people. The people suffering from poverty struggles to find
healthy food and thus eventually becomes sick. Poverty also has different kinds of other
negative impacts as poverty generally is the largest factor that drives people to commit
criminal activities (Ma, Li, and Jin Li 2018). There are also cases when people choose to stay
in poverty because of their unwillingness to do anything meaningful. However, there are
different cases where people generally falls under poverty due to different unforeseen

circumstances like loss of jobs, professional and personal problems, unplanned expenses of
health and many more as such.
Thus it can be said that poverty has become a necessary feature of the society. The
different aspects of poverty shows the result of inadequate socialization and the consequence
of improper economic and political conceptions and arrangements.
Establishment of a Niche
The earlier research on poverty has stated that poverty is by far the largest social
issue. The statement cannot be neglected as it is surely a large social issue. However, the
modern day economists have started to clarify the specific threats related to poverty and
identifies these specific threats to be the most important social issues of the globe For
example food security, inclusive growth, unemployment, absence of work opportunities are
considered to be the most important issues currently (Brooks, Andrew 2016). It can be argued
that all these issues are a part and parcel of poverty. However, the modern day researches are
generally conducted on specific issues and precision. Therefore these issues can be said to be
more important than the major issue of poverty. Thus it can be best said that all these issues
itself has the capability to cover the major issue in the form of poverty.
The research also mentions that there are cases where people have selected poverty as
their friend as they are unwilling to find any kinds of job opportunities. This statement might
be true but in the modern perspective, there might be very little population under poverty who
have such an attitude (Bowles et al. 2016). Thus this part of the research statement surely
exposes a gap in between the different types of the job opportunities. Thus it can be said that
there exists a small population in the modern world who have the mentality to spend their life
under poverty.

Occupying a Niche
The main objectives of the study is to identify poverty and discuss the different
aspects and perspectives of poverty. Apart from this the research has also tried to present the
different pictures of the modern day thoughts on poverty and the impact that it brings in one’s
life. The present research on poverty is based on the earlier research. The research will
present a comprehensive view on poverty by identifying and explain the different types of the
aspects and perspectives leading to poverty (Bowles et al. 2016). This includes Food
insecurity, inclusive growth, unemployment, absence of work opportunities and many more
as such. The earlier research has been helpful as it has provided the all needed information on
research in a proper and efficient manner. The research will be structured in the basis of a
report which will start with an introduction, followed by the body of the report and ending
with a concluding part.
