Understanding of tourism industry
• The tourism sector can be characterized as a
group of industries that facilitate travel for
various purposes and to destinations of leisure
and business interests by providing
infrastructure, products, and services.
• The tourism sector is all about giving travelers
with the tools they need to go about.

Importance of hospitality and tourism
• We must have proper communication skills including oral communication
skills that helps me in order to attract maximum number of visitors and
customers and also contributing towards the growth of nation.
• Apart from that We also have some weaknesses like decision making skills
time management and team working skills that can become barrier in my
overall development of career.
• We need to overcome from this the skills in order to achieve proper growth in
my career and also overcome from the current challenges which are faced by
the tourism sector.

Current challenges facing tourism industry
By considering the various challenges of tourism industry currently the major
challenges face due to covid-19 pandemic by which most of the organizations,
hotels, accommodation centers and restaurants face loss in their sales. Some of the

• In order to develop the time management skills, we need to effectively co-

assigned task within the stipulated period of time.
• Apart from that We also need to develop my team working skills in order to
co-ordinate with my subordinates and other fellows that helps me in order to
provide proper knowledge to the visitors and customers bye by providing
them proper experience.
