The 'game-changing’ technique to create babies from skin cells just stepped

This news was posted in “The Washington Post” dated 20th September 2018 which
underlined involvement of game changing technology that is having potential of transforming
human reproduction system. This was tested successfully by creating eggs out of tail cells of
mouse and then producing viable pups (The 'game-changing’ technique to create babies from
skin cells just stepped forward, 2018). This proves that one day human will be able to create eggs
and sperm in dish which is known as vitro fertilization (IVF). It was also included within this
post that for several years scientists are working upon regenerative potential of the stem cell to
be able to regenerate various human parts including heart muscle and brain cell that are lost in
Parkinson Disease.
Then it is also noted within the post that Toshi Shioda who is Biologist at Harvard
Medical School of stem cell showed concern that there will be possibility of having cancer and
other type of disease to babies created by these eggs (Greely, 2016). Even if this safety issue is
overcome with help of latest technology then also there will be ethical and moral question that
would rise. There are number of ethical issue relate to this including like that of making someone
parent without taking their permission. Then another will be can biological clock of women
could be eliminated at time when there is no need of egg for reproduction (Matsumura, 2017).
Then also making someone parent will be a good point and taking technology as the method will
be somewhere not ethically correct.
