It aims to identify the causes of demotivation among elderly residents, analyze strategies to enhance their motivation and potential, and determine how their thoughts and ideas are valued within the organization. The research employs a positivism philosophy and a deductive approach, utilizing quantitative research methods with data collected through literature reviews and surveys. Ethical considerations such as respondent confidentiality and informed consent are addressed. The proposal includes a time plan outlining the project's timeline, from project formulation and literature review to data collection, analysis, report writing, and presentation of the results.

Introduction
Demotivation is resulting in pathological process that is not a part of normal ageing.
Sometimes they feel excluded from the organisation and from the other people. Also, they feels
excluded when they feel their cognitive abilities is diminishing with the age. Older people is
usually happy and have good relationship with younger people. But sometimes they get
demotivated through various activities. It is important to make them motivate according to their
needs and demands. In context with institutionalization centres (Soldatos, Ziafati, and Mihovska,
2021). It is important to more focus on elder people who fulfilling their needs and listening to
their requirements. The current organisation selected within research is Elderly care. It serves
needs and necessities of senior citizens. It encompasses adult living assisted living, long term
care and nursing homes to elder people. It is like a residential care for senior people. This report
highlights research aim and objectives, questions, literature review and research method to
collect and analyse data in effective manner.

Rationale of the research
The rationale of choosing behind this topic is that now a days, elderly people get
demotivate from some small things. A small thing can hurt them and if nurses and other people
did not provide them proper care, then they get demotivated. So it is important to motivate them
towards be happy and fine. This topic is important for the organisations as well in order to
motivate elderly people and their findings in terms of their achievement of goals and objectives
(NASSAR, and SALAMEH, 2021). Further, conducting this research is the primary function of
researcher to enhance their personal and professional development. While conducting this
research, researcher will be able to enhance their researcher skills, time management skills and
communication skills. This helps in development of their career in future job searching. Further,
they are using Gantt chart to complete this research on time.
Literature review
Causes for demotivation of elderly people within an organisation.
According to the views of Oprea, (2021) Demotivation in elderly people causes from
different reasons such as when any person or a workers ignore their needs and requirements.
Further, when there is a risk of negative outcomes and if the elder people are be a part of another
disorder. Also, this can be faced because when someone ignore their thoughts and ideas and just
make them feel demotivated. This can be by having some mental problem and they cannot be
coordinate with behaviours. People who are having anhedonia is having difficulty in performing
their activities in day to day life.
Ways through which potential and motivation of elderly people get enhanced
According to Marchetti, Di Dio and Massaro, (2021)There is a theory of motivation
which includes two types these are intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation can be
used by elderly people when they try to motivate themselves. This comes from inner motivation.
On the other hand, elderly people can also get external motivation when they are given guidance
and workers will listen to their needs and requirements. Further, they are provided participation
in every activity. This helps them in being motivated towards being happy within their life.
How potential thought of elderly people get valued within Elderly care organisation
From the views of Chen, Sari, and Purnama, 2021) All potential thoughts of elderly
people get enhanced because this helps them in being motivated towards living happily. Within

current organisation of elderly care, their nurses and workers are listening to elder people ways

Research method
Research philosophy : This is the first layer of research onion framework. This is a set
of principles from which investigation is conducted. It includes two types of philosophies
(Czibere and Paczári, 2021). Positivism and interpetivism philosophy. Positivism
assumes knowledge is independents and interpretivism assumes individual is having own
perceptions. Within this research, there is a use of positivism philosophies because it
helps in being more scientific and testing phenomenon. This is based on quantitative
research.
Research approach : This suggest that appropriate research method is used by
researcher to analyses and evaluate a data and information,. This includes two methods
these are inductive and deductive approach of research. Within this study, investigator is
using deductive approach which is based on quantitative research and includes practical
data and findings. This approach helps in achieving research aim and objectives as well.
Research strategy : Research onion framework is suggesting some of the strategies like
literature review, experimental research, case study and survey etc. these strategies helps
in collecting and presenting data in an effective manner. In this research, investigator is
using literature review and survey to gather information. Further literature review is
presented through different books and journals and on the other hand, survey is collected
through questionnaire which includes close ended questions (Tanaka, Yamagami, and
Yamaguchi, 2021). These brings true and reliable data by using of graphs and tables to
analyses data in effective manner.
Research method : Research methodologies view two kinds such as quantitative and
qualitative research method. Qualitative research method includes non numeric
information which helps in analysing different information. Further, quantitative research
includes numerical information which consist of charts and graphs. Within present
research, researcher is using quantitative method of research because it helps in analysing
5
and ideas and they have to work according to their life, further, they are enhancing them towards
involving in decision making process and also get feedbacks from them so they they feel valued
within given organisation. It helps in enhancing organisational profits and revenue and
motivating elderly people as well.

ad gathering numerical information related to the present study topic. It is collected
through questionnaire survey which helps in getting accurate and reliable data.
Data collection method : Data is collected through two different types these are primary
and secondary data collection method (Sen, and Prybutok, 2021). Primary data is that
which brings numerical information and which uses surveys in order to gather data.
Within given research, researcher is using both of the method. As primary data is
collected through survey which includes questionnaire and consist of close ended
questions. It also make use of graphs and charts in order to analyse data in effective
manner. On the other hand, secondary data is collected through literature review which
brings in depth data about a given topic. It is presented through analysing different books
and articles to get valid information.
Sampling : Sampling is the procedure of selecting samples from large set of population.
The samples size selected is 30 staff members of Elderly care. Further probabilistic
simple random sampling is used to select a sample because it provides equal chance to
every respondents to be selected in sample (Neumann, and Schott, 2021).
Ethical issues
Some of the ethical issues like respondents lack of interest and maintain confidentiality
should be done by researcher. Further, researcher should work according to the consent of
respondents and provide true and reliable results to the audience.
