Problem Statement
Employee engagement is the bond between an organization and its employee. There is a major
issue of employee engagement in Australia as it has been found that currently companies facing
around 87% of HR and business leaders (Sutcliffe & Dhakal, 2018). It has been found that the
employee engagement levels in Australia have improved in three years, but the entire rate of
employee engagement is slightly below the global average. Workforce performance is the major
reason of the growth of the business and it is required for the business to have an effective
strategy so that the employees of the company can get motivated (Shields, Brown, Kaine, Dolle-
Samuel, North-Samardzic, McLean & Plimmer, 2015). It has been found that the performance
management of the employees is essential to support an upper level of performing Australian
Public Services (APS). On the other hand, the management of underperformance is considered as
only part of an effectual framework of performance management, it is vital because
underperforming employees can affect the entire environment in the form of productivity,
morale, and efficiency (Albrecht, Bakker, Gruman, Macey & Saks, 2015).
Research aim and objectives
The aim of this report is to explore the issues why employees are getting discouraaged in the
organization while performing. The key objectives of this research are to:

Mixed methodology approach is proposed to address the research aims and objectives which is
defined below:
Comprehensive literature review
The first step in improving a clear understanding of the subject at hand is to assume an inclusive
literature review on the key research themes such as employee engagement, employee wages,
and work performance. This review will entail the online databases, business articles, papers, and
reports.
Qualitative and quantitative data
The use of qualitative and quantitative data will be considered under this research to get the
effective information regarding the topic. Qualitative data will be gathered from the MNC of
Australia regarding issues in employee engagement, employee wages, and work performance.
The survey will be conducted with the employees of the multinational companies to get the
relevant information from that so that the research could be completed with an efficient manner
(Schaltegger & Wagner, 2017).

It is proposed that employee surveys will be conducted with the Australian Multinational
companies in order to bring the information about the ongoing concern in the companies
