INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is the phenomenon which has bought the drastic change in way of doing
business. It has significantly effected the companies engaged in the E-commerce business.
Globalisation is the Phenomenon which has supported the growth of E-commerce business. It
has provided E- commerce companies such as Amazon an opportunity to expand their business.
In context of E-commerce industry, it has provided business entities an opportunity to increase
sales as well as profitability. But the same time, it has given rise to stiff competition due to which
companies are facing issue in maintaining their concentration on core business activities. Study
will emphasize on effect of globalisation on business of E-commerce company such as Amazon.
In addition to this, report will highlight the methodology used by scholar in present study for
collecting, analysing and interpreting the information related to topic.

1.1 Research aim and objectives
Research aim : To analyse the effect of globalisation on performance of E-commerce

One of the important Rationale for selecting the topic is that scholar has interest in

3..1 Research approach
Research approach : It is a strategy which is implemented by investigator in order to reach
conclusion. The different types of research approach are inductive as well as deductive. Choice
of research approach is completely based on the nature of problem. Inductive research approach
has been applied by investigator in present study. Reason for application of inductive research
approach is that it allows researcher to develop new theory using the data collected during the
time of investigation.
3.2 Research strategy
Research design : Selection of an appropriate research design is various much important inn
order to solve the specific problem in systematic manner. Selection of research design is
completely based on the nature of study. The different types of research designs are
experimental, explanatory, exploratory, descriptive (Fletcher, 2017.). Investigator in order to
conduct investigation on topic effect of globalisation on business or performance of E-commerce
companies has applied explanatory research design. Reason for selecting the explanatory
research design is that it provides investigator an ease in describing the phenomenon or
situation .

Research philosophies : It is basically perception of different researcher about the methodology
which can be applied for gathering, interpretation and analysis of information. The different
types of research philosophies are positivism and Interpretivism (Guercini, 2014 ). Researcher

Data analysis : Thematic analysis is the technique which will be applied by scholar in present
study for analysing the information has gathered from both primary and secondary sources. The
reason because of which investigator has selected the specific technique is that thematic analysis
provide researcher an ease in analysing the pattern of response provided by participants (Ledford
and Gast, 2018. ).
3.6 Ethical implications
In context of present study, scholar has implemented different tactics for avoiding the risk
of ethical issues. Some of the strategies applied by investigator are they have informed
participant about purpose of study. Researcher has designed the consent form which consist of
detail information about the investigation which has been distributed to participants Through E-
mail (Silverman,2016. ). Investigator has change the framing of sentences while interpreting the
secondary information, it is the tactics which is applied for avoiding the chances of plagiarism.
Special computer software has been used for maintaining the security as well as confidentiality
of information provided by participants during investigation.
