Globalization is a process of integration and
interaction among individuals two different countries for
specific purpose (Nikolova, Rodionov and Afanasyeva,
2017). It is offering wide scale of development and
innovation to companies across the globe. Globalization is
supported by industries and government of different
countries because it helps the regions in managing
economic growth by eliminating poverty, by creating
wealth and job creation opportunities.
This is the activity that will support the proper rise
in meeting the needs and demands of the action plans that
are been carried out within the organization to have an
expansion and conduction of business activities on the
global or international level. The proper rise in the placing
of the business activities will lead the fir to enhance their
performance and thus will support the meeting of desired
outputs and objectives that are been planned. The expansion
of a business firm like Tesco on the international level is
beneficial for the firm in manifolds. It will help the retail
enterprise to carry out the business activities in much
suitable way (Giddens, 2018).
Besides this, it will support the proper placing of
the action plans and thus develop the effective strategies
depending on the international market condition, customers
requirements and marketing processes that are been carried

Research Approach
Approach of research is a planned procedure which
comprise broad assumptions of data collection an analysis
on research topic. It is the methodological factor which
helps the scholar in addressing problem statement by
considered all major factors of topic. There are various type
of approaches of research that is abductive, inductive and
inductive. However, deductive approach is used by research
in case of logical and analytical reasoning whereas
inductive approach is based on application of evidence,
theories and models to prove effectiveness of research
topic. The abductive research approach is used by scholar
when the researcher aim at overcoming weakness of certain
topic. Therefore, in this study the scholar will make use of
inductive approach as it will be supported by implication of
theories and models for making critical analysis over
impact of globalization on corporate structure of Tesco, one
of the leading retailer of United Kingdom.
Methodologies
Sampling: It is the process of sorting research
sources from large available sources. There are different
types of sampling method that is random, stratified, cluster,
probable, etc. Every sampling enables different way of
sorting relevant population (Bernard, 2017). Thus, in this
study the research will make use of random sampling
method as in this every source has equal and opposite
chances of getting selected. The sample of current study
will be 20 employees of Tesco who will be chosen from
different departments of company.
Data analysis: It is the most critical part of study
which helps in outlining findings. There are to type of data
analysis method that is qualitative and quantitative where
qualitative analysis is done in numerical form therefore
research will make use of qualitative analysis where
collected data will be analyzed with the help of graphs,

bars, etc. in descriptive form
Cost: Cost is the crucial concern of research which
will comprise stationery, traveling, refreshments, printing
and other expenses.
Access: Access is based on framework of study
which comprise consent of employees and management
authorities of Tesco. Apart from this, it will include access
to funds and secondary sources like, governmental
publication, personal articles of different scholars.
Ethical consideration: Adhering to ethics is the
major concern of research wherein scholar will focus on
informed consent to participant that is employee of Tesco
before conducting interview. However, the individual will
also seek permission from management and authorities of
Tesco for conducting investigation on particular topic.
Data collection
It offers method of collecting relevant information
on chosen research topic. There are two types of data
collection method that is primary and secondary where
secondary is based on already collected and available
information (Nardi, 2018). Primary information is current
and fresh facts which are gathered by researcher on frame
objectives. Apparently, the researcher will make use of both
data collection methods where primary information will be
collected via interview and secondary will be gathered via
governmental publication, books and articles.

6.1 Refection on research methods
Research methods are the crucial part of project because in my opinion it offers systematic
collection and presentation of information. It suggests the best way of approaching research according
to chosen topic (Research Philosophy, 2018). I feel inductuve approach helps the scholar in

systematic reasoning of facts and current gathered information with the help of theories, evidence and
model. Likewise, I feel implementing use of both type of data collection method is beneficial because
it helps in making research wide by establishing comparison of information collected in past and
present collected information. Implementing use of both type of data collection methods helps the
scholar in proving relevancy of present analysis. Further, I feel use of graphs and bars was the
effective approach of analyzing qualitative study as it demonstrated clear view of outcomes.
6.2 Alternative research methods
In accordance with methodologies, it can be outline that there are various types of research
methods which could have been used by scholar. Like the research could have deductive approach of
study because it is offers hypothesis for comparison of information on research with the help of
relevant models and theories. Apart from this, in my opinion quantitative study is effective for
deriving valuable outcomes because it enables comparative study where scholar is able to
demonstrated dependency of two variables.
6.3 Areas for further research
The topic of research is wide and helps the scholar in outlining impact on overall
corporate structure of Tesco where future studies can be focused on one specific corporate
governance and strategy use by company like, lean management, corporate social
responsibility, etc. Hence, the study will cover wide range of impact of globalization and
therefore can be used as reference and guidance for forthcoming business project based on
globalization, corporate strategy and governance.
