Chef
Culinary chefs for commercial kitchens in hotels and restaurants should specialize in
any aspect of cooking like: baking, sauces and butchery as well as the supervision of the team
of chef de parties.
They must have ample training in cooking, and supervision of other culinary workers.
They should be able to create new recipes, menus and specialized event menus. They should
be able to comply with kitchen regulations while working. They should have clear idea about
spices, garnishing, plating and correct portioning of food. They should also adhere to policies
laid down for maintaining safe standards in the food and beverage industry (Robinson,
Arcodia & Tian, 2008). They should be willing to adhere to the structured requirement.
Experience in commercial kitchen is required. Vocational Qualifications are an added bonus
and is counted as experience (Morgeson, Brannick & Levine, 2019).

1. Hospitality training institutes or vocational course students from open universities.

A chemist will be responsible for the planning and implementation of complex
chemicals and pharmaceutical research for the development of new products or for testing
other scientific methods (Lombardino & Lowe, 2004). They should have strong leadership
skills to direct the testing process along with the analyzation carried out by technicians.
Should be capable of instructing scientists for testing procedures to be carried out safely.
Should be capable of clearly presenting the findings and deriving conclusions to suggest
required changes. Must be clearly aware of safety rules and regulations in the laboratory.
Should have basic skills like, proper time management, efficient communication and critical
thinking abilities even under pressure (Pitt, Vo and Pyakurel, 2014).
