The session title of this learning was research methods in business practices and in this the main
topic of the session is data collection methods. I have analysed that it is crucial for me to gain
information and understanding about the different method of data collection as this will help me
in enhancing overall performance while conducting research (Pham, Pham and Dang, 2021).
Through this module I have analysed that data collection practices will lead to have direct and
major impact on business practices. It is important for researcher to have right and accurate data
that assist in attaining desired goals. This module was completed in different steps that is
significant for increasing information and knowledge of the learners. Through different steps of
the module I was able to gain accurate information as well as analyse my learning. In the four
weeks of the module I have analysed that it is important for a learner to analyse and evaluate the
objectives of learning. The main motive of this session is to increase understanding of learning
regarding research methods. I have gain information about the different aspects of the research
method as well as importance of considering right research method in order to find appropriate
data. Research method can be explain as the approaches or ways which is consider by researcher
in order to find relevant information. I have analysed that there are different method of research
which could be classified into primary, secondary or qualitative and quantitative research. All of
these research methods are effective as well as have their own pros and cons that will lead to
have significant affect over research activities. I have determined that primary method of data
collection is effective as it provide accurate and appropriate information according to the
requirement of research problem. There are some issues related to primary method that it is very
time consuming way of finding relevant information. Primary method of research includes huge
cost for determining appropriate information. Secondary methods of data collection are refer as
the process of identifying information that has been gathered in primary data. The main sources
of primary data collection includes survey, questionnaire, observation, experiments and so on.
where as secondary sources of data collection includes books, articles, news paper, journals and
other data available on internet (Ma, Seidl and McNulty, 2021). I have analysed that researcher

needs to consider accurate research method as per the need or requirements of the research. This
will lead to have major impact on overall performance of the research outcomes. I have analysed
that qualitative and quantitative research are appropriate approach which assist research. I have
identified that qualitative research is focusing on non numerical data. This is consider to be
systematic approach for finding and analysing information. Quantitative research approach is
considering data which can be mention or represented in the form on numerical data. This is
consider as more effective and useful way in order to collect data. I have analysed that this
support researcher to easily analyse or evaluate the collected data as well as attain desired
objectives.
Through this session I have analysed that there are different types of management
accounting that is effective for analysing or evaluating different aspects of accounting. I have
determined that management accounting can be define as the process of analysing, summarising
as well as communicating different financial information to the management of business (Elmo
and et.al., 2020). This is very important to take right and accurate decision for enhancing
business performance. I have determined that different types of management accounting includes
traditional accounting, lean accounting and transfer pricing. In this module I have gain
information about traditional management accounting. This is one of the essential way of
accounting as it assist in tracking the cost or reducing different practices which is reducing the
cost in the process costing method. Through this learning I have analysed that every method
helps company to determine various ways through which company can differentiate cost that is
associated with the different posts. This consist of direct labour manufacturing and direct
materials. Lean accounting is effective for business as it focus on different different aspects of
business in order to develop effective strategies for business. Whereas transfer pricing is consider
as the common management accounting system and in this method each cost of good are
different from other goods. I have identified that there are different management accounting
reporting ways such as budget reports, account receivable aging report, cost managerial
accounting report, performance reporting. In this module I have gain understanding regarding
different types of analysis of cost (Judge and Burrell, 2021). This includes absorption cost and
marginal costing. I have identified that different planning tools such as budgeting, pricing
strategies and so on have several advantages and disadvantages which will lead to have major

or evaluate these aspects in order to consider correct method of accounting.
Through the learning of this module I was able to determine the role of collaboration in
UK green supply chain. Through this I have determined that there are different aspects of
environment which lead to create pressure from various stakeholders such as government,
suppliers, customers and many more (Cichosz, Wallenburg and Knemeyer, 2020). This will lead
to have impact on better collaboration among supply chain participants that includes suppliers,
manufactures, distributors and end customers. it will have significant influence on improved
