AI Summary
This document presents a formative assessment on research methods, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The assessment explores the differences between these two methodologies, including the types of data collected and the techniques used. Qualitative research, which involves non-numerical data like text and audio, is contrasted with quantitative research, which uses numerical data and statistical analysis. The assignment also discusses sampling techniques, such as simple random sampling, to ensure representative data collection. Finally, it references relevant academic sources that support the concepts discussed. The assignment is a great resource for students studying research methods, providing a clear understanding of the key concepts and methodologies used in business research. It is designed to help students understand the differences between qualitative and quantitative research methods, and how to apply them in practice. The assignment covers the key concepts of research methods and provides a solid foundation for further study.

Research methods for Business
In context of formative assessment, it has been considered both Quantitative and
Qualitative research method. Qualitative method is based on the meaning expressed through
words, feeling. This will help for researcher to collect the information and data within non-
standardized formats but it will require a proper classification into different manner. Within
research study, researcher will focus on the qualitative method which means that represent non-
numeric information such as notes, video, audio recordings, text and images (Nayak and Singh,
2021). These are different way to collect or gather large amount of data. On the other hand,
Quantitative method is based on the numerical data in which investigation on the numerical
values and help to estimate or calculate values in proper manner.
The research study would be changed on the basis of observation, considerations of
similar kind of variables over long period of time. In qualitative method, it should be used the
secondary research which means that provide brief insight power of different participants and
involvement in different activities (Saeed, Mohammed and Al Qunayeer, 2020). In quantitative,
it should be covered the questionnaires technique in order to keep record information within
form of numerical values. This kind of approach will provide the brief idea about the quantitative
research method.
Furthermore, Sampling is one of the best approach in order to represent principle in
research project. This means that which provide the better involvement of targeted audience.
Usually, it should be considered the Simple random technique and select an research participants
in proper manner.
