INTRODUCTION
Personal reflection is all about sharing experience that we have by discussing both areas of
strengths and weaknesses (Hannon, 2018). In this reflective report, I will discuss my skills that I
developed in classroom discussion, seminar activities and others. By making use of Gibbs
reflective model, I will share my learning experience for research practice.
MAIN BODY
Personal reflection on learning experience and learning journey
With this self-evaluation and personal reflection, I want to share my learning experience in order
to know as how this experience would help me out in career development. With the help of

believe that self-reflection and discussion of experience help us out in knowing our skills and
those areas in which we are lacking behind. With self-evaluation, I found that I am good in
communication skills (Chapman, 2018). I was given an opportunity to participate in group
discussion and I proved my side of discussion and at that time I realised that my communication
skills are good. This skill can help me out in the future in getting employment opportunity and I
can help my company out in accomplishing goals by interacting with customers in an effective
manner. I also believed that report writing plays a vital role in increasing communication skill
and it was the main key for my success in university.
Feeling: I want to share my feelings regarding my learning experience and all situations
that faced at my university. My university held one seminar for making people aware about
healthy food and having nutritional values of food. In that seminar, I was asked to perform role
of collecting data and analysing them. We have to target people. So, I perform this role of
collection of data and analysing that collected data. I felt that we can collect data if we have good
communication skill in which I was good. Initially I faced some problems but my influencing or
communication skill, made me able to collect data. It increased my numeracy skills or skill
related to use, interpret and communicate mathematical information. I feel that this skill can be
beneficial as with this skill, I can solve real-world problems.
My seniors told me that in any sector of business, we all need to interpret big data and
this skill and ability can help us out in solving problems and making decision (Holopainen and

et.al., 2020). Bu focusing more on this skill, I can improve decision making skill in which I am
lacking behind.
Evaluation: I want to evaluate situations where I faced some problems along with those
where I learned a number of new things. Before seminar, we were asked to research about the
topic of seminar and collecting secondary information. I made use of internet and searched data
of seminar topic of effectiveness of nutritional values of food. I made use of key words for
gathering accurate data. I collected numbers of reliable data. At that time, I came to know that
there are numbers of sites and sources from which we can gather secondary data but it became
difficult for me to identify the best and accurate sites (Nomdo, Hunma and Samson, 2021). I was
not aware and able to identify the difference between the accurate sources and inaccurate
sources. So, on this basis, I can clearly say that I was good in research and development skill.
On the other side, there are some areas in which I am not good and want to improve. BY
learning in university, I came to know that in an environment where we live, can change any
time. Changes in environmental factors affect our performance and create barriers in the path of
our success. There were some changes happen in environmental factors and one of the main
examples of it wasp: covid-19, pandemic. At that time, we were asked to learn and attain online
classes from home. At that time, I came to know that I am lacking behind in flexibility and
problem solving skill. This lack of skill and weakness, lowers my morale and confidence and
made me frustrated. My seniors and friends helped me out in solving this problem and helped me
out in making able to learn in virtual environment. At that time, I realised that having an ability
to adapt changes is essential because changes in environmental factors happen anytime and for
surviving in changing environment, we all need to have an ability to adapt changing situation and
working accordingly (Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin, 2020).
Conclusion: It can be concluded from above self-evaluation that having communication,
numeracy, time management and problem solving skills are vital for personal and professional
development. All these skills can help us out in getting employment opportunities in our desired
field. Problem solving and flexibility are vital as it makes us able in living in changing
environment and without getting affected, we can perform function. It has also shown
effectiveness of both oral and written communication and ways by which individual can increase
all these skills such as: participating in seminars, group discussion and other.

Action plan: I have discussed some areas in which I am not good and need to improve for career
development and future growth. I found that I am lacking behind in flexibility and problem
solving skill, So, I need to develop personal development plan. Personal development plan helps
us out in improving our knowledge and skills by making use of appropriate resources.
On the basis of above discussed learning experience, I can say that by focusing more on
myself for improving skills, I can accomplish my personal goals.
CONCLUSION
It has been summarised from the above report that communication, research and problem
solving skills play a vital role. All these skills help us out in increasing knowledge and
developing career. I have discussed my personal experience of my learning journey in which I
developed some skills that can be beneficial for my research practice.
