Question 1: Describe your motivation for doing research, by considering your own
interests in a specific research field
There are diverse categories of challenges which are associated with most of the oil
and gas projects all over the world such as maintaining the sustainable development,
management of the issues faced by the resources involved in these projects (Handfield, Primo
and Oliveira 2015). Thus, the main motivation behind the conduction of this research is to
identify the ways by which the challenges faced these projects can be resolved so that the
quality of the final outcome of these projects are maintained (Tran et al. 2019). Concern over
the practical problems which are faced in the oil and gas projects such as addressing the
rising global demand of oil, managing the highly volatile prices of the equipment which are
deployed in these projects, managing the stringent environmental regulations, and optimizing
the performance of the industrial base assets has to get resolved, and the conduction of this
research can be very much beneficial to address these challenges.
Thus, this research shall be very much significant as it can help to improve the
cognitive thinking ability of analysts, the resilience and the communication skill of the
analyst is also expected to improve after the successful conduction of this research. This
research shall also be very much useful to improve the creative thinking ability of the
analysts and also help the analyst to improve their knowledge about the environmental
regulations which have to be followed in the oil and gas projects.
Understanding the important factor which has an effect on the oil and gas project such
as the inability to expand the reserves, addressing the adverse weather conditions, inadequate
liquidity, environmental restrictions, and addressing the general industry competitions can
also be understood by an analyst from these oil and gas projects.

using online surveys, interpretation research papers and analytical research papers have
focussed on these projects as well. Oil and Gas projects are critically evaluated by numerous
scholars all over the world as these projects goes through a lot of substantive changes. The
workplace complexities of these projects are increasing every day as a result numerous
journals are published every day so that the industry professionals are benefited from the
research papers.
According to Matoug, Frefer and Omer (2018), performance management of the
stakeholders working in the oil and gas projects is very much required to develop programs
for continuous development. The researchers of this journal stated that factors like customer
satisfaction, efficient use of resources and profitability can have a huge impact in the oil and
gas projects. Intensive literature review was conducted to state the findings of this research
paper.
As per the guidelines of Rahimi, Kenworthy and Balakrishnan (2018), innovation is
very much significant in most of the oil and gas projects. The researchers highlighted that the
relation between the project strategy and innovation is very much significant for the
successful conduction of the oil and gas projects. Scale development project, empirical
