This research project investigates the addiction of online games in Japan over the past five years, exploring its aims and objectives. The study analyzes data collected through thematic analysis, including age demographics, time spent gaming, preferred game types, and the impact of internet usage and personality factors. The findings reveal that younger age groups are highly involved, with a significant amount of time dedicated to gaming, particularly action games. The research also highlights the correlation between internet usage, personality traits, and online gaming addiction, including the negative impact of disinterest in other activities. The project concludes with recommendations for governmental and parental interventions to mitigate the negative effects of excessive online gaming.
