INTRODUCTION
Research methods are those which helps to complete the defined project in better manner
so that it will help the researcher to conduct the project in more precise manner. Further, the
report is describe in three different parts. In first part, report will describe past achievements,
current skills and future plans and through this, different skills are identified and by defining
weaknesses personal development plan is describe. In next part, report will describe 20 log
activities in which skills are mention with score rate and in third part, report will develop
research proposal in which topic is selected so that research methods are describe with
identification of all relevant authors and journals. Further, smart objectives are developed and
then all the project management components are used that helps to conduct the research in better
manner.
PART 1
Career Plan
At the time of finishing my college in the year 2016. The first think which was in front
of me is to shape my career and the first step toward the same was to select the first job, so that
on the basis of the same I can build on a successful career ahead. At the time of completing my
degree of BE Aeronautical in the year 2016, first think which was in my mind was to have first
job in a company where I can gain a quantity of knowledge and experience. As I was always has
to have thought that knowledge and experience are the two thing which used to shout loudly in
the competitive market at the time of applying for any job in multinational company. My
educational background used to highlights the bachelor's of Engineering in Aeronautical field,
which was done in the year 2016. There were many field which was in front of me but Aviation
field was the one who has always attracted me toward the same. The biggest reason behind the
same is the vast area of knowledge and professionalism which is offered by the field to the
candidate opting for the same. As from the time of childhood I was very much addicted to the
flights and air transport it has also drive my interest toward the Aviation field.
Gujarat chloride company, is the company where I have served for the first time as a
professional. I was recruited at the post of administrator in the organization and I have served the
company for the 3 year on the same post. Company profile was not in the interest line of mine
but the role and responsibility which post used to offer to me was the one thing which has drive
me to serve for the company for that long duration in the organization. The main responsibility

of mine over there was to build a link between the different department in the organization. By
syncing the performance of one department with the other department in the organization and has
to make sure that all the department in the organization used to work with the proper efficiency
in the organization. This has eventually helped me in improving the communication as well as
decision making skill of mine. As I was the one who used to provide the crucial hand of support
in term of information of different department and also with the knowledge of the current
situation to the project manager at the time of taking any decision. Another responsibility which
was served by me was to maintain the human resources motivation in the organization, as I was
the one who used to work as a link between the employee and the senior management in the
organization. This has helped me in improving the motivation power of mine in the organization.
The reason behind selecting Gujarat Chloride company rather than any Aviation field
organization is that I want to build some management skill as well. Getting a degree from the
college has helped me in gaining the theoretical and practical knowledge about the aircraft
designing or carrying out the operation of company but in the competitive world it is very much
necessary to have a multiple skill set in them. As a result I have decided to gain some
management skill and I was very much successful also in doing the same as 3 year tenure over
there has helped me in building the variety of management skill.
Now, as I am confident enough on the different skill set which has been built and
knowledge and experience which is possessed by me, I am targeting to follow the path which
used to interest me the most. As in future I am targeting to have a job in the multinational
company in the field of the Aviation. As educational background and education learning used to
motivate me to enter the field of aircraft designing as I am confident enough to perform the job
role with full proficiency. Management skill which is build by me in the previous job role will
work as a icing on the cake as this will eventually help in understanding and operating the
different operation of the company in the better way as compare to any other in the organization.
Also as I am targeting the job role of aircraft designed project manager or Aviation project
manager, the past experience which was gained by me will play a crucial role as this role will
require a management skill. Also I will be targeting some shortlisted firm such as general
dynamics company ,aviation dynamic company.

The aviation sector is very wide area and for get success in project management here is need to
maintain all those skills (Yamada, 2015). As per the PDP some skills are very weak in that
required to improve all those skills by using some action which are mentioned in log of
achievement which is the list of 20 separate activities. Some weaknesses are lack of self-
confidence, reading for different purposes, project planning, time management, decision-making
and interpersonal skills. Those are creates more effectiveness for business by meeting
effectively.
The result of improving all those skills are help to get the success in changing field in
better manner. This creates more effectiveness for people to better management goals.
Weakness, skills and actions are the great combination which is helpful for generate more
productive performance by giving hard efforts in respective manner. With the help of this,
individual is able to meet and align goals which is becoming successful project management in
aviation industry. There are various activities is organized for improve those in an effective
manner. Those are very important and effective for individual in order to meet the objective. At
the time of giving presentation, faced problem because I have lack of confidence which is
created negative impact (Pavese, 2016). For that, here is made some actions which are taking
review from seniors and managed work.

Those are help to build self-confidence in effective manner. This creates more
effectiveness. On the other project planning is also important for becoming successful project
management, here is need to make effective and valuable risks. This skill is also weak for that
here is take some decisions and actions which are communication skills, time management skills
and other important skills are highly helped to managed skills in effective manner. Those are the
same skills are more important to improve and develop skills in effective manner for getting
more effectiveness (Coeckelbergh, 2015). Improvements of those skills are very important and
effective for business which is help to meet those actions in effective manner. If skills are not
improved then that creates issues for future problems and creates various issues. For that it is
very important to improve those skills in effective manner by using appropriate action which are
mentioned in PDP and log of achievements.
Part 3: Research Proposal
Topic: “To analyze the contribution of different project management methodologies while
implementing strategies in business with regards to project management".
Background, Motivation, relevance, Source of knowledge
Project management plan is that document which describe each and every phase of the
project in summarize way. In the same way, researcher interest is also related to project
management so that it will help to attain the future objectives. In the same way, current study is
also based upon different methodologies which are used by the researcher in order to complete
the project in better way.
Rationale: The researcher chooses this particular topic because researcher have their
own interest to conduct the research on this particular topic. Further, this topic will help the
researcher to gain knowledge especially related to project management methodologies so that it
will help in future plans as well. Moreover, the selected topic is vast and there are different
methodologies that also assist researcher to attain defined aim and objectives, as researcher
wants to get a good job in multinational company such that general dynamics company or an
aviation company in which scholar may work as an aircraft design project manager or aviation
project manager.
Summary: The selected topic is, identify the contribution of different project
management methodologies in business and for that the researcher, reflect all the research
methodologies which helps to attain the defined aim and objectives. Further, research proposal

also identify relevant authors and journals to present their views so that the researcher may attain
the define aim. Further, proposal describe objectives and the project plan which includes
deliverable, resources, cost and time with risk management log as well. Lastly, it presents

Research methodology: It is the specific document which determine, select and analyze
the information related to particular topic. In the same way, current study also uses the
methodologies which are as mention:
Research Approach: It is the plan or procedure for research which spans the steps from
the broad assumption to detailed methods of information gathering, analysis and interpretation.
For that, research chooses deductive research approach because it helps the researcher to
generate the best results, and this approach is based upon the assumption through which
researcher may attain the defined aim i.e. To analyze the contribution of different project
management methodologies while implementing strategies in business with regards to project
management.
Research strategy: In order to conduct the research in better way, researcher will chooses
qualitative research strategy which mainly focus on the collecting data using open ended
communication. This method also helps the researcher to let understand others point of view and
then generate results so that it will help to accomplish defined aim.
Research design: It is the set of methods and procedures which is used to collect and
analyzing the variables of the specified problem. Thus, researcher opted descriptive research
design under conclusive research because it helps the researcher to test hypothesis and also
develop relationship. Further, this method will helps to generate the best results related to project
management.
Data collection: For the current study, researcher uses both primary and secondary
research. Such that for primary research, researcher chooses survey method in which
questionnaire is used that helps to determine the views of different selected respondents. For
secondary research, researcher uses books, articles and journals in order to support the secondary
research so that it will help to determine the contribution of different project methodologies in
business.

Data analysis: To conduct the research in precise manner, researcher uses thematic data
analysis methods under qualitative data analysis so that researcher will present each finding
using charts, tables and pictures in order to look more presentable. Thus, this method will help
the researcher to meet the defined aim and complete it within specified deadline.
Sampling: Researcher will use simple random sampling method under probability
sampling method and 30 employees of aviation industry are selected randomly in order to
determine their views so that researcher may easily accomplish the defined aim.
Literature Review:
Different project management methodologies
As per the view of Rasnacis and Berzisa (2017) agile is the project management
methodology which is best suited for the projects because it is a type of process where demand
and solutions are evolve with the help of cross functional team. While, Joslin and Müller (2015)
stated that scrum is another project management methodology whose goal is to deliver and
sustain complex products through collaboration, iterative progress. This method is best suited
when project consist of team less than seven people.
According to Lei and et.al., (2017) Kanban is good and popular agile framework which
mainly focus on early release with collaborative and self-managing teams. Its main aim is to
deliver the high quality of results by providing the best picture of the workflow process. This
methodology is great for personal productivity purpose. While, Shamshurin and Saltz (2019)
stated that lean production helps to promote and maximizing the customer value in order to
minimize waste. This strategy main aim is to create more value for customers. Moreover,
waterfall is another project management methodology which response to manage increasingly
complex nature of software developments, but this method require lot of focused. As per the
view of Baham and et.al., (2017) hybrid approach is another project management approach
which is the combination of waterfall and agile methodology that mainly focus on gathering and
analyzing requirement at initial level.
To analyze positive and negative impact of different methodologies upon business strategy
According to Saltz, Heckman and Shamshurin (2017) agile methodology helps the
business to mainly focus on requirements as, it gives the resources much more freedom to make
changes on the strategy, in turns it creates positive impact upon business. On contrary, there is no
fixed plan which emphasize to responding the changes and due to lack of plan, it is harder for the
