Introduction
Reflection is defined as an activity which provides information about experience of an
individual. This includes personal experience in doing different activities and tasks. In the
present context, there is reflection of a student who has conducted a project research. Reflection
is helpful for analysing and critically evaluating own learning while accomplishing the project
tasks. There is chance of enhanced learning and ability by analysing own capabilities (Cain, and
et.al 2019). The following report will include reflection on own experience of a project manager.
This includes journey of a student while conducting research project.

and build trust and management skills. The different stages of Gibbs reflective cycle are
described below -
Description - I conducted project research that was based upon need of talent
management within hospitality organisation. I have prepared proper planning and strategy for
completing the tasks and activities of research. I used my planning and management in order to
develop an effective research plan. I have developed various skills like communication skills,
interpersonal skills and management skills while working upon the research. This helped me to
manage various all the research activities in proper manner. I have developed research aims and
objectives precisely related to issues in hospitality organisation (Jenkins, Ritchie, and Quinn,
2020). After this, I planned a time frame in which project will be accomplished.
Feelings - I am a confident person and I have kept myself motivated while managing
different research activities. I have developed my patience level while working upon this project.
It was easy for me to develop positive feelings while working upon the project.
Evaluation - According to me, I have developed some skills and abilities of research that
will help me in conducting more better researches in future. While conducting the project
activities and tasks, I think main skill which has helped me is the communication skill. This is
useful for me to talk to different respondents who were involved in the project work.
Analysis – I have analysed that all the research activities and tasks are completed
effectively by me. This has helped me to manage the functioning of all the hurdles and
challenges that occurred while accomplishing the project (Lee, and Jang, 2019). It is essential
for me to manage the analysis of own skills for completing the research activities. I have done
the research planning properly and this has helped me to accomplish project tasks and activities
in the given time.
Conclusion - In the conclusion phase, I have evaluated there are some strengths and
weaknesses which I possess. In order to conduct strong research, I have to develop some skills
like data collection and critical thinking. I lack these skills and manage to develop these so that it
will be easy to reach desired results. Planning and scheduling project activities is one of my
biggest strength that has helped to complete the research properly within decided time frame.
Action Plan – I think I have planned the research activities properly and these will be
completed by me in decided time frame (Rojas Pernia, and Haya Salmón, 2020). I have
interviews various managers working in the hospitality organisation and asked their views on

talent management. My communication and interpersonal skills helped me to develop a good
conversation with respondents. This led to completion of research activities.
