COVID-19 had a significant influence on the retail sector, including a national and local
lockdown that had a significant impact on retail spending. This industry is seen as an important
aspect of the economy, and the covid-19 epidemic has resulted in significant shifts in goods and
services, with some areas of retail faring worse than others. As a result of the significant
limitations, beauty salons in the United Kingdom are making appropriate attempts to expand
their business to include internet operations (Mariotti, Akhavan and Rossi, 2021). As a result, the
beauty industry must continue to respond to changes in consumer behaviour as governed by the
government’s social distance and contactless interactions legislation.
Given the trend toward the online merge offline paradigm, a divergent role for physical
stores is expected in terms of incorporating the integration into online services or the home
services process. Due to this most of the industries has responded positively towards a crisis by
switching the brand towards manufacturing of various hand sanitizers and cleaning agents by
offering free beauty services for the Frontline response workers (Pavlova and Sagov, 2020).
Therefore, the leader of industry is responsible to give their best to make sure that the
organisations survive effectively.

Victoria Rose Beauty is a five-star award-winning salon in Southville, Bristol, with a team
of educated skin specialists that are passionate about skin care. Victoria Rose Beauty strives to
provide the best beauty therapy experience in Bristol, with each skin treatment being completely
tailored to the client’s individual skin condition and needs. Double cleaning, exfoliation,
extractions, massage, masque, toner, and skin protection are some of the treatments available. To
create a beautifully peaceful and sumptuous ambiance, the salon has been adorned and furnished
with one-of-a-kind antiques and vintage furnishings. In addition, there is a quiet garden where
you can unwind after your treatment.
Research Rationale
One of the reasons I chose this topic is that it connects to some of the other things I am
studying. Considering this topic for research, is useful for me in order to develop my knowledge
and understanding regarding impact of covid-19 pandemic over the beauty salon like Victoria
rose over their sales and revenues. Because after the pandemic due to lock down and social

distancing most of the businesses gets negatively impacted in regard of their growth and
development. It will not only broaden my understanding of various topics, but also help me learn
new talents that will be useful in the future. Also, because there have not been many studies on
this topic, this study will add to the reader’s total knowledge of the subject while also allowing
the researcher to gather important and beneficial insights. Aside from that, I would like to
improve my presenting and communication skills, and I believe that the project will assist me in
developing and refining these abilities.

The researcher will use the deductive strategy to conduct this investigation efficiently and
achieve the desired results. This is because the researcher will be able to describe the relationship

between two variables to the readers using this method (Tilaar, 2020). There is also the
possibility of generalising the research findings to some extent.

There are various types of research methods that can be used to finish the research, including
surveys, interviews, and case studies. However, in command to gather data, the investigator will
employ a questionnaire. A questionnaire will also be used by the researcher to obtain data from
the respondents. The justification for doing so is that it will allow the researcher to collect data
that is both first-hand and reliable (Tang and et. al., 2020). In addition, questionnaires are simple
to analyse and save both money and time for the researcher. Because it aids in the analysis of
primary data, quantitative research is applied.
Data collection
For managing the acquisition of research data and information, both primary and secondary data
collection approaches are used. The researcher will contact the participants via email in order to
gather information. Respondents will also have the option of not answering any questions with
which they are uncomfortable.

Research strategies, on the other hand, play a vital part in doing good research. In the context of
this study, primary research was undertaken to guarantee that the research's stated results were
met.

2021). Apart from this the research findings are measured with the help of SPSS software and

Microsoft Excel in order to help the researchers regarding the analysis of various information
