The organisation that is selected in the research paper is Edo Japan Canada B.C that is a
Canadian fast premium restaurant chain that is specialised in offering food influenced by
Japanese Teppanyai style cooking (Japan, 2019).
Research Problem
Edo Japan Canada B.C is evidenced to operate is business successfully through market
expansion and through introducing healthy meals options made with quality ingredients. The
restaurant chain had attained success in attaining significant growth throughout western Canada.
However, in the recent years it is observed to face issues related with employee motivation
within workplace that is affecting their performance in the restaurant. Through facing such issues
the company is striving to maintain its leading position to offer highest quality and freshly
prepared food within quick service restaurant industry (Bunchalieo, Ongkunaruk &
Puthpongsiriporn, 2018).
Scope of Problem
The HR issue faced by Edo Japan Canada B.C is observed to be local as well as national
issue as affected performance of employees in the restaurant chain due to their affected
motivation is resulting in development of poor quality food offerings and affected service
delivery to consumers. Such issue is deemed to be local and national for the reason that poor
