The purpose of the research design involved in the current research is to provide a base for
the completion of the research in order to accomplish the objectives of the business (Lê and
Schmid, 2022). the purpose of selecting appropriate the design in order to analyse the research
question. in case the design will not be proper then this will be affecting the completion of the
research.

The variable within the study involves the sales and the marketing strategy. this is
because of the reason that currently the company is reducing the sales and with help of effective
marketing strategy it will be used in evaluating the problem.

The type of research design being used in order to analyse the decline in sales of KFC is
the use of descriptive design. This is particularly because of the reason that it will be assisting in
development of the knowledge relating to the fact that development of the theoretical knowledge
is being focused in case of descriptive design (Zhu, Sari and Lee, 2018). also the use of
descriptive research design will be helping the researcher to identify the working in better and
effective manner. with help of using the descriptive design the researcher can develop different
information and articles and can also find various secondary sources as well.

For the research to be completed successfully it is necessary that the proper data is being
collected in order to make the research successful. The data collection for the analysis of the
decline in sales will involve the use of combination of primary and secondary data. this

combination is being used because the primary data will be providing the first hand information
and the secondary data will be providing the authentication of the primary data. this is very
necessary for the reason that it will be providing a better base for the research and this will
improve the working and completion of the research in better and effective manner. Along with
this the data will be providing the base for the analysis of the research problem and to find
solution to it. For the primary data the use of questionnaire will be undertaken and for secondary
sources books, articles, journals and others will be used.

The study population is the base or the sample from whom the data is being gathered. In
case the sample will not be appropriate then this will be affecting the accomplishment of the
objectives of the research (Liamputtong, 2020). The sample involves the selection of the
employees belonging to the sales and marketing department. These have been selected for the
reason that they know the actual reason for decline in sales and how with marketing it can be
improved. the sample selected will be of 30 employees.
