BUSINESS RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Introduction
The research proposal presents an idea about the job satisfaction based on various
factors along with the major aspects that have encouraged and motivated the individuals to
feel interested in their job roles and responsibilities while working within the organisation.
The topic will also include the various flexible work conditions, benefits and rewards to be
provided to the employees that can raise their morale and level of satisfaction. The
assignment will also comprise of the impacts that have been created through diversification
of job roles along with the employee recognition and level of achievement of employees,
which influences their behaviours and can assist them to perform to their potential at the
workplace too.
Topic identification:
From the assessment of the previous three assignments, I have learned about the job
satisfaction and various factors that have encouraged motivation of people and higher level of
satisfaction at work. I have also understood that the major factors that have increased and
decreased the level of satisfaction at work include flexible work conditions, sense of
achievement, recognition, structure of rewards and benefits along with organisational policies
and consistent pressure put by higher authorities to the employees for the accomplishment of
tasks (Lee, Back and Chan 2015).

Recognition on the Job Satisfaction of Employees – An Evidence from Private Sector

Problem identification:
By studying the previous assignments, I have identified the various problems that are
associated with the decrease in level of satisfaction among the employees with their jobs.
Few of the major issues include poor reward structure, organisational policies and pressure
constantly put on the employees by the organisation. I feel myself being less motivated and
encouraged to perform tasks at work with these issues and the same happens for everyone
(Herzberg 2017).
Research questions:
What are the different factors that have contributed to satisfaction among the employees?
How can the diversified job role of work conditions lead to higher satisfaction among the
employees?
Why does the employee recognition and achieving something make employees remain
satisfied with their work?
What are the measures recommended to improve the job satisfaction among employees?
Literature review:
From the assessment and review of the previous three assignments, I have acquire
knowledge on the various factors including the diversified job roles, recognition of
employees within the organisation, sense of achievement and effective wages and reward
structure that have contributed to the level of satisfaction among the employees (Kianto,
Vanhalaand Heilmann 2016). I do believe that all these aspects are critical for influencing
their behaviours and performances, while at the same time, career growth scopes and
opportunities created have also influenced the employees to remain satisfied. Within the
organisations, I believe that employees aim to get good amount of money for their concerned

job role and based on the stability and security of job (Harr 2013). From my point of view,
the rewards and incentives provided to the employees or their contribution and effort along
with the management of recognition programs, which has further kept them motivated and
encouraged to perform to their potential as a whole.
Research methodology:
Due to focus on the quantitative study concerning the research, I managed to acquire
knowledge and information about how the research design could facilitate answering to the
questions considered in the research. My objective while conducting the research is to
determine the various factors that have contributed to the level of satisfaction among the
employees at work. I have understood the need for developing questionnaire and how it has
helped in analysing the data and information presented in the form of responses of the
respondents in the survey questionnaire (Saravaniand Abbasi 2013). The selection of the
design of the research has further allowed me to materialise the data and ensure validation of
hypothesis required to meet the objectives of the research. The questionnaire is designed to
meet the criteria for collection of quantitative data, furthermore ensure analysis of those and
meet the objectives with ease and efficiency.
Sampling:
From the analysis of the data and information from the previous three assignments, I
also found that simple random sampling allowed for selection of N number of population,
which favoured equal scopes ad opportunities for every individuals to get selected for
providing their useful views and opinions, considered as quantitative data (Suenand Ary
2014). I also understood the importance of stratified sampling, cluster sampling and the
systematic random sampling, which ensured selection of samples on a random manner. Due
to this, I can see the selection of sample size as 30 respondents.

Data collection and analysis:
According to me, the quantitative data collection, as seen from the research, has been
possible with the distribution of survey questionnaires to the people who have been selected
among a large group of people. The survey questionnaires consisted of questions that were
answered by the respondents and the quantitative data has been collected (Frelsand
Onwuegbuzie 2013). The analysis of data and information drawn, based on the responses on
the questionnaires, has been done with the use of IBM SPSS tool and the data and
information are presented in the form of graphs and tables with the help of this MS Excel
sheet.
Findings:
Based on the analysis of data and information, it is understood that the majority of
respondents are over 40 years of age and most of them agree to the context that diversified
job role influences satisfaction of employees for the concerned job role. It has helped me to
acquire knowledge and information about calculating the standard deviation and mean, which
should assist me to test the hypothesis (Mackeyand Gass 2015). Based on the positive
relation between the satisfaction of job and independent variables, the aspects are mostly
positive and it could be believed that all these factors largely contributed to the job
satisfaction at work an resulted in forming an influential workforce.
Reflection:
Based on the review of these various assignments, the individual reflective report has
been prepared, which could offer me an unmatchable experience while conducting the
research and at the same time, facilitate management of human resource practices and
satisfaction of employees with the job role. I have also understood about connecting the
variables, devise the research questions and test the hypothesis for ensuring that the research

brings positive outcomes all throughout. I have also learned about the sampling methods and
ways of collecting and analysing data and information required to maintain the authenticity
and reliability of research furthermore. All these aspects could improve my skills and
knowledge, furthermore allow me to overcome the barriers faced and try finding out new
ways of ensuring job satisfaction. This could not only make me work as an entrepreneur in
the future, but would also help in managing the human resources properly, furthermore, keep
them motivated an encouraged to perform to their potential and gain higher level of
satisfaction at job too.
Conclusion
The research proposal was done for providing my own opinions and critically reflect
the various aspects associated with the job satisfaction at work. The major issues that were
experienced include the poor structure of wages and rewards, lack of implementation of
proper organisational policies and pressure put to the employees. I personally believed that to
facilitate motivation and encouragement of employees, there had to be career growth scopes
and opportunities along with motivation and encouragement required to make them feel
interested in their work, furthermore ensure job security to. The questionnaires were
distributed to collect the data and information, which had been analysed with the use of SPSS
tool that presented the results in the form of graphs and tables. Lastly, the reflection part
allowed me to present my individual views and opinions regarding job satisfaction and also
its impact on the management of human resources with ease and efficiency too.
