Rationale for the choice of the research and its relevance to proposed research project.
In a Research it is necessary to select proper research method so that on basis of it
data is gathered and collected. The method provide insight of what type of data will be collected
and why. So, as per study topic research method is selected. The main purpose of selecting
qualitative research design is it will be useful in providing in depth data and information about
topic. Usually this method is used in nursing topic where only safety and quality regarding health
care services is included. Also, the method helps in gaining more info on particular topic and
explaining in detail. Moreover, with this it will be easy to gather data on role of medication
safety in nursing and how important it is to provide proper medication facilities (Moran, Burson,
and Conrad, 2016.)
Besides that, it will provide data on different type of incident and events which can
occur due to improper medication and how it can lead to adverse outcomes and consequences.
Furthermore, qualitative research will be easy to carry out and only theoretical knowledge is
obtained that is analysed and interpreted in effective way to provide relevant outcomes. Along
with it, this method will help in giving brief information on what measures or suggestions can be
followed in order to improve health and quality of medication administration.

trends in larger information set being examined. This method is used in nursing in order to
investigate the depth information about topic. Therefore, purposeful sampling is a technique that
qualitative researcher uses to select participants that provide in depth and detailed information
about phenomenon under investigation. With the use of this kind of technique information can be
gathered on role of medication safety. However, this sampling will allow scholar to select sample

only for specific purpose. The researcher will select sample on basis of his or her choice and
based on purpose of study. With that, it will be easy to collect data from them and generate
outcomes. Also, it will be easy to find out what is outcome of topic on specific people only
(Dols, JHernández, and Miles, , 2017.)
By the use of primary technique, the researcher can use first-hand data so that depth
information can be gathered about the use of medication safety. Secondary information is
technique that is useful to collect data with use of books, journals and articles etc. However, the
topic is wide so that both the method of data collection will assist to gather the depth
investigation about the chosen topic. However, primary technique will be useful to collect data
with use of participants and this will aid to analyse the depth information about the chosen topic.
Hence, secondary data can be used to collect and by the use of other sources so that depth
analysis can be undertaken. Thus, sampling is a method that appears to be most effective and
common in order to undertake the implementation of the research.
To carry out the depth analysis, the sampling is unique way that studies the proportion of
population rather than the whole. It is one of the effective technique that can be useful to collect

3. Rational for chosen of data analysis method
The entire outcomes of research depends on how data is been analysed and interpreted. This is
because it gives relevant results by analysing data into useful info it is necessary to use proper
data analysis technique as per data collected.
Thus, in this research thematic data analysis method is used. The main purpose of selecting this
method is it will be easy to interpret data in qualitative way and generate outcomes. Besides that,
with help of graph and table it will be easy to segregate data and then interpret it. Furthermore, it
will help in developing themes ao that it is easy to understand results in effective way. So, theme
wise analysis will be done along with graph and table. Hence, by viewing table frequency of
options will be evaluated. The table will show that how many people have selected which option
and why. Apart from it, as topic is not related to any statistics so thematic method is suitable for
it. Along with it, this method will also provide outcomes in numerical values. Therefore, it will
be easier way to interpret data and present relevant results. Moreover, it will provide flexibility
in analyzing data which allow in proper and effective analysis of data (Streicher, and Volkert, ,
2018)

However, as topic is related to nursing so use of thematic analysis will hlep in applying

studies as well, so it will be easy for him to use it here. There will be no issue in it. Moreover,
scholar only want to interpret qualitative data so thematic method is been applied in it.
