INTRODUCTION
The report intends for examining ways of research in utilising digital technology which can
provide benefit for professional in organisation. Digital technology is being spread in every
sector of business and each industry across globe and in organisations. It has been seen that
digital has become the norm and is basic part of work experience for organisation and
employees. The organisations have been planning for shifting towards the workplace being
digital as it is the norm today and of great prominence in marketing. There are benefits which are
many for organisation which change their shift towards digital workplace. These benefits can be
further discussed in report with research extensive on the topic.
MAIN BODY
As per Sternard (2020) , topic of digital technology is understood by many businesses and they
have got success in transformation of their organisations in complete way which can provide
benefits for company as well as professionals working there. Digital surroundings in office is not
an office with physical presence but it is having an online appearance for providing sharing of
knowledge in many ways for customers who are effective and innovative. A workplace which is
digital and has environmental features connected give employees access to everything needed in
regard of work with digital technology assistance. For many years, digital workplace is used
widely as a term and in 2009, it was used for describing the eco-system of workplace technology.
After introducing digital workplace, idea was adapted by many organizations and it was got with
assistance of research that through analyzation of research articles digital workplace shall
continue for a long period of time as it evolves all over world (Lee and et.al., 2017). It becomes a
challenge for defining term in broader sense which is why there are many definitions of which
some focus on the aspects of workplace of digital and there is focus on concepts which are
specific.
As per Hayes (2018), digital workplace is one which has many characteristics which are
necessary for organization like providing assistance with accuracy in work for the employees. A

for delivering positive results. The tools include communication apps. The digital workplace is
concept which is adapted by every industry in the world. Digital workplace has benefits listed as

A) Digital systems have assisted in bringing increased efficiency in workplace.

which is functional fully where Google Docs are shared and there are community
calendar in circulation which has made it easy for business and employees for
collaboration to accomplish tasks. With this advanced stage, it can be observed that

D) Digital transformation has brought increase in revenue

generating more of revenue with capability for reduction in costs and increasing
productivity. Digital transformation has brought increase in revenue. It has made business
possible with several organizations and has made the organizations go global, as found
through study.

recruited for the organization and candidates being landed in right job shall be satisfied
with the work and thus employee retention shall increase (Lee and et.al., 2017). They
will remain longer with the company and thus, both the organization and employees shall
be benefitted. Employee retention is for any company, a major achievement which
increases reputation for the company and this has been made successful through digital
measures.

It can be concluded that digital workplace is necessary for every organization which would like
to be ahead and achieve prosperous growth in industry and also get to enjoy the benefits like
revenue increase, productivity improvement and improvement in employee performance, cost
reduction in operations etc. It was found in report that organizations with digital workplaces are
likely for achieving the goals and objectives in time lesser than expected. There are some
recommendations being given which can benefit from a digital workplace:
A) The employees can get exhausted through constant work on digital tools and meetings
thus, in between physical interactions also need to be done.
B) To avoid sensory overload, use of digital tools have to be limited and not extensive.

C) More usage in technology may become expensive and instead of cost reduction, it may
become expensive as company will bring new technology which is better and advanced.
It has to be seen by management that technology should not be brought for competition
alone. It has to be implemented for benefits.
