INTRODUCTION
The role of sustainability is significant in hospitality industry. Companies who are
performing their operations in this industrial segment need goods, electricity, and water that are
both durable and consumable. It mainly leads towards creating wastage. In this sustainable
practices effectively facilitate organisations in this industry reduce wastage and spending and
effectively have positive attitude towards environment (Lauvås and Steinmo, 2021).
Sustainability significantly allows this industry to have strong public relationship and more
competitiveness advantage that will automatically improve quality of life and environmental
health. Sustainable practices will benefit this industry to have healthy community non-toxic
environment and natural resources through which they can serve the needs and demands of
customers with the help of sustainable management operations. With the help of implementing
sustainable practices companies in this sector can gain ability to perform their roles and
responsibilities by reducing wastage that will allow them to meet the needs of future generation.
Present report revolves around the importance and concept of sustainability practices in
hospitality sector for which viewpoint of intended audience is being evaluated and analysis has
been done for the same. In addition to this reflection and certain recommendation to this industry

hospitality industry is required to implement sustainable practices in order to conduct their
business operations while having a positive attitude towards environment. For this Hilton Hotel
is being recommended to emphasize upon the importance of sustainable practices as with the
help of this company can not only maximize their business profitability but can also assure long-
term sustainability. This hotel is recommended to adopt recycling program within their
organisational workplace structure. This will significantly allow this hotel to conserve energy
through which company can reduce their wastage in terms of energy utilisation. In addition to
this, hotel is recommended to effectively promote paperless office as this will allow them to
support green practices. This can impact organisation in a number of ways through which they
