Healthcare System in UAE: A Research Proposal and Survey Report

This research proposal provides an overview of the healthcare system in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It examines the system's structure, including government-funded and private sectors, and its regulation at federal and emirate levels. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the UAE's healthcare system in delivering services and the influence of healthcare innovation. The research plan focuses on qualitative methods, utilizing secondary data collection and a deductive research approach to investigate healthcare service management and innovation within the UAE. The proposal includes a time schedule and data comparison, using graphs and numerical information, with a Gantt chart for project management. The study intends to identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement of living standards through effective healthcare services.

RESEARCH PROPOSAL - “A Survey of Healthcare System in UAE”.
INTRODUCTION of UAE
United Arab Emirates (UAE) located in Western Asia at the end of Arabian Peninsula and
bordered to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran. This nation is having approximately 9.2 million
as its population. In the year of 2018, Total GDP (Gross domestic product) of nation is being
estimated around $732.861 billion and if it is talked about per capita it is $70,262 (Martin and
Sutton, 2015).

On the other hand, healthcare system of UAE has an across-the-board government-
funded health service and it is rapidly developing private health sector and it delivers a high
standard of health care services to country people. It has been analysed that healthcare system
of this country is regulated by both federal and emirate level as well. It is being found that
Ministry of Health and Prevention, Health Authority-Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the Dubai Health
Authority (DHA) and the Emirates Health Authority (EHA) can be considered as some of federal
authorities that develop's policies for the country. This research report is being made to identify
corporate, legal and other issues which can be changed in opportunities so that effective
healthcare services can be delivered to people of UAE for improving standardisation of living.

TWO TASKS
In main project, the two topics which have been selected by research conductor are
healthcare service management and healthcare innovation where different types of healthcare
services in UAE will be carried out. Apart from this, the second topic (healthcare innovation) will
show establishments of the healthcare industry within United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Research Aim: - To analyse the influence of healthcare systems of UAE in delivering
effective services to citizens of the country.
RESEARCH PLAN
Whole research will keep it's focus on United Arab Emirates, health care systems and
along with this, plan will be enclosed with innovation that parliament of UAE and private
healthcare sector has been taken for betterment of overall healthcare systems considering
reduction of the overall costs and improving living standards of people that are living in UAE
(Elseviers and et. al., 2014).
Research Methods: Researcher is going to use qualitative investigating technique,
because the set topic will only draw favourable outcomes considering this approach (Cooper

and Besada, 2016). With the help of qualitative research method, it can be said that
investigator can easily draw data related to different perspectives and so on. This is mainly
being used because different organisations may draw favourable outcomes which is depending
over the topic and these are mentioned beneath:
Data collection methods and research approaches: Investigator also used different
sources to collect data but mainly, the information that has been carried by this researcher is
secondary method which will aid in collecting data in short time frame. Here, investigator have
also kept its focus on using deductive research approaches where there are two options that
are present for using both of the approaches (Inductive and deductive). But, deductive is being
considered as one of crucial concept that may aid in pulling out favourable outcome in short
span.
Time schedule and comparison of data: Including this, information which is being
gathered is going to compare on the basis of graphs and other relevant numerical information
(data). Lastly, research is going to be conducted on the basis of a time schedule for rightful
completion of this project in set time frame. In this context, investigator also used Gantt Chart
considering the investigation in finishing every single activity related to tasks in specific time
frame.
