Causes of stress and its management within the work place
Research Problem Statement
The health of an employee can be affected in a negative or positive manner due to various
level of stress. The lack of sleep and disruption in the health of the employees may affect
the overall function of the employee in a negative manner (Wan, Downey & Stough, 2014).
The discomfort in the working environment within the organization can also lead to high
amount of stress such as the noise of the heavy machineries, overcrowded environment or
working with chemicals without proper safety measures (Beehr, 2014).
Another common problem is that the lack of proper leadership within the organization often
leads to stress among the employees due to the high level of conflict that may arise. The
lack of teamwork in the organization may result in increasing the work pressure that may
cause stress among the employees. This may also lead to isolated environment for the
employees to work in (Faragher, Cass & Cooper, 2013).
The factors of stress also lead to lack in the control power of the organization, which may
cause ambiguity or may result in low performance within the work place. This may lead to a
poor performance of the human resource management that is present in the organization,
which may lead to the high level of stress among the employees (Anitha, 2014).
