Resilience is considered as the ability of changing oneself according to situation in
critical situations (Arrogante, and Aparício-Zaldivar, 2017). The concept of resilience is related
to capacity of an individual to develop recovery in relation to hard events of life. It is essential
for a person to develop resilience in life in order to cope up with healthy and wealthy life. In the
recent times, due to increase of various mental diseases resilience is considered as most critical
approach. This project will cover analysis of a case study in order to develop key approach in
understanding resilience. The report will cover theory of Elizabeth Kubler Ross and its stages in
order to develop effective approach in dealing with the problems. The project also includes
recommendations for a case study to develop a major understanding of course of actions
according to the situation.

In the stressful life, individuals face many problems related to mental health and general
areas. The concept of resilience come from United States of America's study which is conducted
with the support of longitudinal study. In the late 1980s and 1970s, various scholars and
researchers started to explore the way children came from risky population presented with
physical and mental health. The humans face critical challenges and issues in their day to day
life. The Resilience and its measurement is important for a person with the help of various tests
developed by researchers (Ávila, Corrêa, and Lucchetti, 2018). The Davidson- Conor also
developed a resilience in the year 2003, in the approach 22 Questionnaire with a 5 point scale.
The resilience can be increased by different methods and techniques like connection with friends
and family, colleagues, check with each other and ask for help. The person should focus on
increasing healthy thoughts which are based on peaceful mind. The healthy thoughts can be a
major approach in order to deal with mental status development. There are various benefits of
mindfulness which lead to minimise risk associated with the health.
The mindfulness colouring, breathing, exercise, visiting nature and meditation in order to
develop healthy exercise. The anxiety and depression should be eliminated by an individual in
order to remain healthy throughout the life span (Resilience in mental health, 2022). Parents
who’s child experienced a life altering accident and who had resilience showed less
psychological distress over a longitudinal time compared to those that were less resilient or had
no resilience. Denial can be a temporary defence for an individual who used to think about things
which cannot be happen in real life. It consist both conscious and unconscious thinking to
believe that something happen is true. It is one of stage in which people trying to believe that
their loved ones are not dead and lived with them. In context of Oluwakemi, high mothers death
is shocking for him as he was lived in London and was not able to meet his mother for few
months and also he express his grief in Denial. Anger: It is next stage after Daniel as if Daniel
does not come to them then they enter in this stage. In this, individual feel like things only
happened to them which is not right. It is one of feeling which dominate emotions of a person
and it can be difficult for other person to provide support to them. It cannot be possible for other
person to show care for them as they feel envy.

Implementation of it in study of Oluwakemi, it has been seen that there is anger develop in him
as he was not able to meet his mother during Covid-19. Due to this, there is strong emotion occur
in him as last when talk with his moether was results in argument and due to this he feel guilty.

death. Depression is the stage in which individual reach to depression phase where sadness as
well as grief dominate over them in their life. In this stage, feeling of a person to miss someone
who are passed away has started (Clayton, 2018). As a result, a person become deny for support,
refuse to talk, become silent, spend most ODF their time over crying as well as grieving for loss.
In situation of Oluwakemi, he remain with heavy heart at time when his mother passed away
and he distance himself from his fiancé and other friends.
The analysis of case states, Qluwakemi is living London and the age is 23, completed the
degree in London only. The mother of Qluwakemi whose name is Quenie has died in
Birmingham. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a major issue and obstacle among Quenie
and Qluwakemi and they did not met for a long time. The Qluwakemi and Quenie spoke over a
phone call and there was a clash between them over money. The Qluwakemi is engaged and the
husband of Oluwakemi is engaged and their partner has never met Queenie. In order to analyse
the case in a precise and systematic manner, the theory of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross including five
major stages. The Oluwakemi suffers from mental problems as Danial does not come to give
sympathy. It was very much essential for Oluwakemi to take support of Danial in order to
overcome from the critical situation.
The Elizabeth Kubler Ross model was developed in the year 1969 and is used widely all

well defined manner. The first stage in this model is related to denial which states that a person
can develop defence in a temporary manner which is felt when things are happening in a fictional
manner. The grief and its suffering is considered as major thing which is essential for an
individual to focus upon. The Oluwakemi will have a lifetime regret of the incident which has
happened recently with her mother. The social networks are important in an individual's life in
order to develop healthy relationships with different people. Social network includes relationship
with different people in the society in order to increase effectiveness in relationship. The
development of social networks is essential in life of a person to increase the effectiveness of
bonds. It is crucial role of an individual to develop positiveness in order to develop effective
approach (Koelmel, Hughes, and Ehde, 2017). The event of death of Queenie will negatively
impact on the social network of Oluwakemi. All the relatives of Oluwakemi will put a blame and
question mark on her that she did a clash with her mother. Also the relatives will put emphasis
on social support and they will make taunts against her. The life of Oluwakemi will be also
affected in a negative manner with the support of key strategies and choices.
Social networks also plays a major role in increasing moral and emotional support to an
individual in the busy life. It is necessary for an individual to take assistance and support of
social networks in order to move ahead in the life. Mental strength is the key aspect of an
individual in order to increase the chances of overall personality development. Oluwakemi must
take moral support from the individuals in order to gain systematic growth in life after the
incident. Relatives of Oluawakemi should provide moral support to her and also give her
assurance that everything will be alright soon. Relatives should also give precise support to
Oluwakemi by giving essential advice to her for future (Lenz, 2021). The key advantage of
giving precise advice to others include key focus on developing most of the visual approaches. In
the recent times, all major individuals focus on taking suggestions from society to develop a key

are attached with personal life and formulate key solutions to the problems. The social support
also develops psychological understanding and provide clear observations related to current

also necessary for an individual to develop consciousness in relation to the current happenings.
Resilience is one of the important and valuable aspect of the human life which is related to the

connection then it becomes positive and easy for them to overcome from the wicked situations.
Oluwakemi and their fiancé should adopt key ways to deal with current situation which is
existing in a negative manner. Psychological and moral support should be developed by an
individual to gain competitiveness. In the recent times, due to increase in medical practices the
support is available in an immense manner. All major hospitals related to mental health should
treat patients with equality in order to provide them with key quality treatment. A person must
analyse key external and internal factors associated with self development after suffering from an
incident. Plans and policies suggested by relatives must be implemented by a victim in a precise
manner in order to achieve fruitful results (Moore, and Woodcock, 2017) Lifestyle based
patterns should be also developed by an individual to create key focus on different activities and
functions related to day to day life. Routine management is also one of the major factors which
needs to be considered by Oluwakemi in order to increase the approach to deal with problems.
The different types of problems which are faced by an individual should also include situational
analysis to get better outcomes. The key role of an individual is to analyse major factors which
