INTRODUCTION
Improving performance in teaching field requires understanding the ways of creating
beneficial resource material for students and optimally applying this material to ensure high
quality education services are provided to the students (Chambers Mack, and et. al., 2019). In
case of this report the focus is teaching in specialist area and the need for developing, using and
organizing resources in specialist area. This report is based on the role as an assistant teacher at
the city collage. The purpose of resource usage in specialist area along with ways of making
specialist resources for the specialist area are covered in this report.
MAIN BODY
1.1 Explain the purpose of resource in learning and teaching
Teaching and learning resources are essential element of providing an exceptional
experience to students and learners. This is because the design and quality of the teaching and
learning resources in the company supports students in their learning and helps each student
gain an environment to completely understand the subject. After the pandemic teaching has
shifted to online classes such as HNC courses which are offered to adults through teams human
resource management level 4 HNC (Fabiano, Reddy and Dudek, 2018).
In the current digital age where most of the education is completed through digital
technology, usage of visual tools, simulations is essential for delivering a satisfactory learning
experience to students. This type of teaching material which includes, charts, graphs, tables,
videos, pictures and other forms of visually presented data helps students understand the
concepts clearly and simplifies difficult parts of the subject area. In addition to this it is
important to use diversifying approaches with teaching resources which lead to mix of visual,
simulation, textual and audio resources so that every student is able to understand different
concepts in a unique manner.
Activities which are more engaging such as virtual reality or augmented reality
simulation technology to help students understand ways of practically applying different
theoretical concepts are also used as a teaching resource. VR/AR simulation in teaching is also
an important teaching resource because it provides students knowledge of practical usage and
improves transferable skills. Different learning styles are also part of teaching resources which is
used for students with different learning preferences learn effectively.

1.2 Evaluation of specific resources in meeting individual learning needs
Team based activities which help students understand the practical application of various
theoretical concepts are a useful teaching resource in specialist area. The advantage of this
teaching resource is that it promotes deeper understanding of the students as they are able to
engage with the teaching material. The disadvantage of this teaching resource in specialist area is
that it is time taking and can affect the timely completion of teaching schedule.
Extending learning is also useful in addressing learning needs of the students specifically
students from a poverty stricken background. I addition to this learners who are committed to
employment for earning living can also gain more substantial time to completely understand
courses and gain their certification. The advantage of this teaching resource is that it helps
students gain more flexible and accessible teaching. The disadvantage of this learning resource is
that it reduces social interaction which can be used to provide students a better and motivational
learning environment (Gong, Hu and Lai, 2018).
2.1 Analyse principles of resource design.
There are different principles of the resource design which includes the following-
Meet the needs of the learners- This principle includes that the resources for the students
must be designed in such a way that it is adequate to meet the requirements as well as
needs of all the learners who are assessing it. It is essential that the resources such as
books, journals etc. are being sufficient enough to fulfil the needs of every student.
A clear presentation that motivates the learners- This resource principle involves that the
resource which is being used to teach the students must be presentable enough so that it
can motivate the new learners to learn something new out of it. This simply means that
the resource must be attractive enough to have clear understanding of what is being
conveyed to the learner.
Easy access- This principle involves that the resource which is being used in the teaching
must have easy access for the students so that they can make use of it as and when
required by them. This principle is essential as it provides a space to every learner to have
easy access to the resource so that they can learn anytime and anywhere.
2.2 Evaluate sources that inform resource development in own specialist area

informal sources which has been used to inform the resource development in my specialist area
where in the informal sources which I encouraged to my students for using it includes the study
center or the online libraries wherein the students can take the charge of their research and have
the benefit from various resources like fiction books or reference, newspaper magazines etc.
Moreover there were many Internet resources being also used by me in order to inform about my
subject to my students via online mode which included counselling theories etc. (Lee, 2019)
2.3 Analyse how theories, principles and models of inclusive curriculum design can be used to
inform resource development in own specialist area.
As a teacher I have developed all my resources as per the principles, theories as well as
models of the inclusive curriculum designs. For example I have made sure that for
addressing the various levels of the needs of students, Maslow need of hierarchy theory was
being used by me so that these level of needs are being established so that people can get the
Knowledge of what they are required.
The blooms taxonomy theory was also being used by me for addressing the learning
domains so that the students are shown as to how learning can be done through activities
which involves the task that are challenging in order to tease their brains. This theory has
helped them to overcome the various situations and teach the students as to how they can
overcome them on the individual basis.
2.4 Analyse ways in which resources can be adapted to enable an inclusive approach in own
specialist area
There are different resources which has been used by me so that the students needs are being
met. This involves that I made use of the paper based materials that were dependent on my
sensibility and ability. As I am being teaching online to the student, it is essential for me to
adapt language of the resources for the aim of the learning which is to be achieved so that my
students requirements are being fulfilled which involves having good visual skills as visual
support is very essential (Pastore and Andrade, 2019). Here then I was required to make the
timetables by making use of different photographs and symbols so that the topics as well as the
current activities are being displayed appropriately. I also made use of different online web
instructions that enable the students to download the software freely so that they can make use of
different brain games in order to enhance their ability to solve the complex situations. This help
them to have the sense of problem solving attitude and the creativity.

2.5 Design resources, including those that involve new and emerging technologies, to engage
and meet the individual needs of learners in own specialist area.
There are different resources which are being used by me as a teacher that involves the emerging
as well as new technologies so that the needs of my students and learners are being achieved.
The first resource which is being used by me was the Internet wherein I got to share various
online books and journals for my students so that they can have easy access to it and can study
anywhere and anytime as per their convenience. The second digital technology which has been
used by me for meeting the needs of the learners involves the virtual learning environment and
the e-learning study centers so that the students can learn in a peaceful manner at one single
platform.
2.6 Employ resources to engage and meet the individual needs of learners in own specialist area.
As a teacher, my foremost responsibility towards my students were to meet their needs and
requirements. And for doing so it is essential for me to employ various resources so that I can
become efficient in fulfilling them. Employing resources includes making use of the PowerPoint
presentation by me wherein I can teach my students on online platform in an easy and
presentable manner by making use of attractive content and pictures so that they can find it easy
to learn. Another resource which I employed as a teacher was adopting various learning styles as
per my students need. In this resource I was required to first analyse the type of learner each of
the students is so that I can teach them and meet their requirements as per their learning style
which suits them. This helped in meeting their requirements in an easy manner and making use
of such resources which are helpful towards it (Rumble, 2019).
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from this report that there are various resources which can be used by a
teacher in order to teach and meet the requirements of its learner. There are informal as well as
formal resources which can be opted by a teacher so that it can provide access to all the contents
to its learner in order to make them efficient in their subject area. The technology also plays an
essential role in assessing the knowledge to the students which includes online libraries
workshops etc.
