INTRODUCTION
Resource is everything that is needed to execute a task or project which can be skill sets of
employees or the adoption of software. Resource management is the process by which business
manage there various resources effectively. Resources can be tangible and intangible such as
people, time, equipments, materials and finances. It involves planning so that the right resources are
allotted to the rights tasks. The management of resource also ensures that the internal and external
resources are used and applied effectively on time and budget.
This present report will be carry out the research into profiled organisation representing
three different sectors which are primary (agricultural business), secondary (engineering business)
and tertiary (call cantre). Further, this report will also include the the importance of the effective use
of physical resources and way to maximise the effectiveness of human resources.
TASK 1
1.Analyse the resource requirement of different organisation in different sector of economy.
Resource management refers to the proper allocation of resources in the different business
according to requirement of different sectors. there is specific procedure for application of resource
management that is planning, organising ,proper allocation of resources and best utilization. The
resource management is necessary for the proper development and utility. The importance of
resource management to undermine the estimation of resource and project management of human
resource.
There are different categorisation of the organisation
Primary sector- the mainly aggro based industry or sector in which basically the the sector in which
harvesting of natural resources and extraction form the earth like mining, agriculture and fishing
etc. basically the agriculture sector pickup there own produce. As seen in case scenario of business
1 which is agro based business using the resources specified for there family business that is Stem.
The business have the progression in standard manner as there is requirement of physical resource
such as 50 acres of land,containers, water reservoir along with latest steel structure. Tin addition to
this there were 4 employees which were permanently hired and any of seasonal will be also hired.
Secondary sector- the secondary sector consist of the organisation that is under the manufacturing,
construction and processing industry. In the case scenario sector as it is mentioned this engineering

sector is majorly responsible for manufacturing and processing system of panels for ship, cars and
rails. Some of the raw material that can be used by this sector can be iron ore, limestone. As to
addition there is necessary requirement of technologically developed machinery to have efficiency
in production
Tertiary sector- the third sector of organisation is basically the sector that provide the services to the
economy. There are various services provides by this sector that is financial services, entertainment
and retail. As in the case scenario 3 this business is service oriented. The resources that are
mentioned in the case study is basically the skilled human resource, proper technology and
infrastructure as may this must be needed sources.
2. Outline key requirements relevant to resource management in organisations in different sectors of
the economy
Resource management is the crucial part for the development of any sector of economy. In
all the sector of economy there many be variant use of the resources so that proper growth and
development can be done. For the smooth running of an sector there is the need of proper allocation
of resources such as the professional automation software is used by different industrious in a sector
so that smooth and hazel free manner can be implemented. The manager of an organisation has to
take the serious action in development of business by proper understating of the function of
company. The management has to take proper step such as resource plan, resources breakdown
structure, responsibility assignment matrix,resources allocation and many more techniques so that
proper function and settlement of resources can be done.
As per the case scenario 1, theirs is the financial limit in the smart decision related to finance are
required. There should be effective utilization of available resource with contentious monitoring
and development. In the case scenario 2 there should be proper monitoring in managing resources
through the consideration of cash flow. There should be standardise relationship between the
suppliers and distributor so that effective working can be there. In case 3 , there should be proper
decision making in logistic,usage of effective technology and cash conversion cycle so that the
effective service can be provide to customer.

2.1 Evaluate how the use of physical resources is monitored and managed
The physical resource are one of the important resources that is been required for the development
or growth of any sector in an economy. There are several method to evaluate and monitor the

various of physical resources. There should be the proper selection of resources with proper
consideration of the goals, objective of company along with keep in mind about legal obligations.
As per in case study 1 there is the introduction of resource as the profitably is there with the
profitability. There is the management of the resources are done in this manner than this will turn
out as profitable. As per in the case 2 as to identified the most required resources the company
should identify the needs in the manufacturing process and the most appropriate resources that must
be required in proper organisational functioning. In addition to this, the mount of supplies necessary
should be decided in advance as well. As per in case 3 there should be proper selection of resources
of technology that should have least impact on environment. Monitoring turns out to an important
part.
2.2 Evaluation of the impact of resource wastage
There is the significant impact of the resource wastage inn the various productivity of the
organisation. The resources management is very necessary as to avoid the wastage of resources. If
the resources wastage is not properly managed then there is maximum chances that the futuristic
opportunities will be reduced and limitation in profit margin. There is continuous vicious cycle
which will also lead to decrease in turnover ratio ans sales of company. There is limited scope in
development of the organisation. The proper waste management is properly needed as it will
decrease the productivity and effectiveness of company in any of the sector. Basically there is high
requirement of management of wastage in primary and secondary sector that is aggro based and
manufacturing industry. They have to properly allocate the resources as they can increase the
effectiveness and efficiency of organisation. As there may rapid increase in the extraction and
mining of natural resources will effect the environment and will lead to the depletion of natural
resources. The manufacturing company that are using the toxic raw material for the development of
industry should have the proper stage-management of resources.
2.3 Assess the costs of high profile technological failures
As it the recent time all the sector of organisation are directly or indirectly depended on the
technological sector. The sector are basically dependent but the level of dependency differs. But it is
necessary for all the sector of economy to deal with the technological sector. the major issues that is
faced by the error in technology will be more have the impact on the manufacturing sector and the
service sector industry. The companies has to pay more attention on the development of the
technology of these sector as these organisation will main dependent on technology. As by the

development of these technology there is the used in having the financial records of company and
other mangement stasis. They are the controlled of various machines with single control of
technology. If there is lack of any technology then the second and third sector will deplete. As there
may rapid increase in the extraction and mining of natural resources will effect the environment and
will lead to the depletion of natural resources. The manufacturing company that are using the toxic
raw material for the development of industry should have the proper stage-management of resources

The organizations need to utilize the resources in a varied manner under the ethical policies so that
the organizations gain more profitability with less cash out flow. The competitive advantage acts
wisely in this case. The company in different sector of the organisation has to carry the different
business operation I the ethical management of resources. The company has to established the
business in the proper manner so that the ethical goal can be achieved. The work has to be done in
the proper manner so that the management of the resource should be don e in the to attain the
sustainability. The allocation and extraction of resources can be done in way the ethical
responsibility of the company can be accomplished as the development of company can bring
sustainability.

3.1. Need of human resources planning in the workplace.
Human resource planning is the planning of total number of human resources or employees
required to carry out the activities within organisations of three sectors. Human resource planning
ensured the best fit between employee as well as jobs while avoiding surplus and shortage of
manpower.
Here are the needs of human resources as follows-
Hiring of Employees: the need of HRM is to hire or recruit candidate required for
completing the work within organisation. Skills required and fit for the job is also very important
part which is done in HR planning. Apart from this, at the time of labour turnover, HR manager
have to hire or recruit new candidates to fill the vacant position in the company (Noe and et.al.,
2017).

Replacement of Persons: There are various reason for which existing employees are to be
replaced due to retirement, death, old age etc. Thus, in the organisations there will be requirement to
prepared as well as train person for taking up vacant jobs in the company.
Assessing Future Requirements: Forecasting of human resources is also an essential part
of the HR planning as they uses to assess surplus and shortage of manpower within organisation. It
is important to asses because if there are less candidates than required, it will create pressure on
existing employees working in the company. On the other side, excessive working of people than
required leads to increasing labour cost (Cascio, 2015).
3.2 Theories of Motivation applied to motivate people at work.
Motivation is the essence of a healthy organisation. It is all important for organisation keep
the employees satisfied and motivated in order to gain productivity (Jonas, 2016). Maslow's
hierarchy of needs is motivational theory which can be used in organisations to keep the employee
motivated. There are five steps in Maslow Hierarchy Theory which are as follows-
Physiological Needs: These are basic needs which an individual expects from the
organisation as it is basic necessity. It includes food, shelter and clothes. If these needs are not
fulfils it is impossible to keep a person satisfied.
Safety Needs: These are needs that include financial security, health as wellness and safety
against any accidents or injury (Bouzenita and Boulanouar, 2016). To keep the employees satisfied
it is important that employees should be provided safety like pension, medical allowance, health
insurance, PF deduction etc.
Social Needs: These are the needs that incudes friendship, family, social groups, community
groups etc. as employees should feel loved and happy working in the company. Organisation should
provide a good social environment.
Esteem Needs: These are the needs that includes the needs of recognition or self-respect
that employees need working in the company. Organisation should respects their employees either
labour class or management class so that they would be motivated.
Self-Actualisation: This is the need for development which is the top priority of employees
in today's business environment (Kiruja and Mukuru, 2018). So, organisation should promote there
employees so that they can reach to the maximum efficiency.

3.3Used for monitoring and improving employee performance
The three key purposes of appraisal interview are,
Reviewing of the performance after the last appraisal.
Reviewing employee potential.
Reviewing the reward.
The manager has evaluate the last appraisal and whether objectives were set had been met The
managers have to review performance records of employees. The employees need have review
performance with respect to objectives set. they are not able to achieve objectives then they have
to think about performances . The problems identified have to be taken care of with help of the line
managers. The appraisal meetings held for dealing with performance issues. Effective conduction of
appraisal requires considerable amount time. Carrying out of appraisal associated with various
benefits.
3.4 Assessment of effectiveness of reward systems in different contexts
The different approaches towards contingent pay are,
Skills-based pay
Contribution-related pay
Competence-related pay
Performance-related pay
Skills-based pay:
approach focuses skill input for job. It is quite similar to the competence-related pay approach.
The skills which are needed for conducting operations successfully are identified by the
organization and the employee performance is rated on the basis of the skill.
Contribution-related pay
Performance-related pay is most commonly applied but competence-related pay has also become
common in the present days.

4.1 Monitor the use of physical resource against performance measure and procedures.
It can be evaluated that in International Meducare physical resources are monitored through
KPI’s. the KPI’s are developed on basis of different projects. So, from project it is identified that
how much physical resources are used and in what way. Furthermore, the procedure followed is
evaluation which is taken from workers feedback and areas for improvements.
4.2 Analyse the data in employee performance
The performance of International Meducare of Recruitment adviser is poor in terms of
strategic thinking where he has good performance in planning workshop relations with stakeholders,
competing task on deadlines.
The performance of Administration officer is good as it can be analysed that he has
satisfactory performance in the company because he have panning and organisation skills, working
relations skills etc.
The performance of logistic coordinator is also satisfactory but completing the task in the
deadlines, she has poor performance.
Deputy director is performing outstandingly in planning and organisation skills, whereas in
other Mr Kumar has good performance. Cost and pricing Analyst is also performing at satisfactory
level.
The performance of training manager is very poor but at some level he is performing at
satisfactory level. Whereas the performance of Graphic and web designer is also good.
The performance of project manager is good as he have strategic thinking skills, planning
skills, he used to manage people nicely. Whereas, health worker, fund raiser and trading and
merchandising manager is also performing at good.
4.2 Findings on effective use of human and physical resources
It can be evaluated that in International Meducare physical resources are monitored through
KPI’s. the KPI’s are developed on basis of different projects. So, from project it is identified that
how much physical resources are used and in what way. Furthermore, the procedure followed is
evaluation which is taken from workers feedback and areas for improvements.

4.2 Recommendation
The best way to raise the efficiency is to of employees is provide training to employees.
Organisation should organize training to employees on regular basis as it is very important making
the performance of employees effective and efficient. Organisation should call experts of each files
to that employees can gain quality of work from the employees. Apart from this, organisation
should use Key performance indicator to monitor the performance on regular basis so that they can
analyse the gap and take actions accordingly.
