INTRODUCTION
Health and social care is sector that includes provision of health and social work activities
(Hart, 2018). The work sector will be inclusive of provision of variety of social assistance
services that directly relates with client. The present report is based on identifying the process
and purpose conducting research and that must be based on evidence practice in health and social
care.
TASK 1
1. Description on the purpose and process conducting research in enabling evidence based
practice in health and social care.
In this, the aim of evidence based practice is to provide high quality care to the individual
or patients. Thus, evidence based practice has various range of meanings. Thus, the purpose of
evidence based practice is as-
The main motive is to provide evidence based practice in terms to deliver the high quality care to
individual patients and patient (Lee, Brain and Martin, 2017). In order to achieve it, nurses need
to be carefully evaluate the ideas and experience and must apply with the all kind of nursing
practices. Under this, it has been also suggested that professional must put their consideration
over the dynamic interaction of belief and value system that affects the experience of patients in
health care.
In contemporary health care settings, the evidence are continually changing. The new research
and technologies emerge, old ideas and opinions and this are subjects to scrutiny. In addition to
this, evidence based practice is continual changing and developing. In this, they must learn to
adopt the process of evidence based practice. With the help of being, open and transparent,
clinical decision making can be justified and accountability demonstrated effectively.
Process of evidence based practice as-
1. Ask a clinical guiding questions- In this, there is need to convert the need for information
about the terms that is based on things as prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.
2. Find information/evidence to answer question- In this, it can select the information from
the things as database or resources likely to answer types of being asked, utilize,
keywords and concepts (Gates, Kang and Lerner, 2017.).

3. Critically apprise the evidence- It is technique that is helpful in order to find out
reliability, applicability and validity to the client. This is essential to evaluate the strength
and weakness of the evidence.
4. Integrate the appraisal- In this, it is essential to integrating the all things effectively with
clinical expertise and it is important to value the patient’s preferences.
5. Evaluate- In this step, it is very essential to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency so
that there can be ways to improve the things in perfect manner.
2. Description on the skills and qualities needed to conduct literature review in health and social
care.
The literature review demonstrates and provide the effective knowledge about thing and it
is essential to provide a critical analysis of body of work so that each thing can be conducted in
better and efficient mode. In addition to this, the aim of the literature review is depending on the
aim and purpose of the work. The person should be highly skilled so that he can able to give the
depth description about the project so that it can easily find out things in better mode. Thus,
following skills are needed to conduct literature review and that has been defined in below
presented manner as are-
Define your topic- To conduct the better and effective literature there is need to define the
central question so that each thing can be defined in better mode. Under this, the things can be
done in well and efficient mode.
Narrow down the topic- In this, it can be said that the topic which is in short manner will
help to put the major focus over the thing that defines the things in better mode so that the depth
can be done effectively (van Laar and et.al., 2017).
The person should have quality to choose better books so that good literature can be
conducted on the matter of health and social care.

to collect each thing in described manner about the health and social care.
