2014). The company that is chosen for the purpose of the study is that of the Telstra Company of
the Australia. Telstra Corporation Limited is an Australian Telecommunication company which
tends to build and function the networks of the telecommunication and the market voice, mobile
and access to the internet, pay television and various other products and services. Andy Penn is
the CEO and even the managing director of the Telstra company.it is his aim to deliver a positive
impact on the culture as well as on the performance in the organization. The report will be
analyzing the important traits that must be there is a responsible leader, the effect of good
leadership on the organization as well as on the other stakeholders and as well as on the culture
of the organization that tends to lie as an effect of the responsible leadership. Recommendations

According to Patzer, Voegtlin and Scherer (2013), the various traits that a responsible leader
must consist of are as follows:
Eagerness to accept responsibility - a leader who is capable must always be ready to
accept responsibility and must not turn from it.
Physical strength and stamina- the leaders need to work under huge pressure. They
have to travel to various number of places in order to attend meetings. If the leader do
not possess physical strength and vitality, he will not be capable of dealing with the life
full of stress.
Confidence- a leader who is confident in oneself will be able to convey to the others the
aim or the goal of the company.
Clarity- it is the responsibility of the leader to understand the macro environment and its
influence on the organization. In this basis, it can be said that Andy Penn must be capable
of articulating a compelling narrative in order to inspire the others and even support them
to align their effort (Hymavathi, Kasarabada and Avadhanam 2015).
Climate- it is very important for the leader to understand the conditions that are required
to drive the world class performance and take accountability in order to create an
environment for the people so that they can put on their best efforts as well.
Competence- the leader must understand the value and the expectation that tends to lie
from him so that he can develop the talent to change Telstra into an organization with
world class standard.

arrangements easier for the other.
Effect of responsible leadership on the organization as well as on the other stake
holders of the company
According to Siegel (2014), the style of management that the leader tends to adopt have a
direct effect on the performance of the organization. Various studies that have been done in this
field tends to claim that the responsible leader tends to make arrangements easier for the other
employees working in the organization. This tends to develop the performance of the employees
and also helps in the attainment of the goals of the company. It helps in building up of good
morale in the organization as well as of the retention of the employees in the company.
Responsible leaders tends to bind all the people together and take the company in the path
towards success.
On the other hand, it is to be noted that the good leadership tends to make better plans for
the organization which ultimately attracts the stakeholders. It helps to get the support of the

According to Witt and Stahl (2016), it is because of the good culture or environment in the
workplace that is being created by the responsible leader, the satisfaction of the workers towards
their job tends to increase. On the other hand, it is to be noted that a positive environment tends
to lessen the stress or pressure among the workers in the workplace as well.

The conclusion that can be derived from this report is that the leaders tends to play a
significant role in the development or in the success of the organization. Therefore, it is very
important for the leader to be responsible enough to see through the benefits of the organization
as well as the welfare of the workers in order to gain benefits and profits for the organization.

The recommendations for being a good leader and gain huge profits and success for the
company as are follows:
The leader must make a strong connection with the employees of the organization
The employees must be involved in the decision making process of the company.
The leader must give equal importance to all its employees
Programs must be initiated for the development of the employees of the organization
Complain box must be there so that the employees can come up with their suggestions or
complains which the leader can correct it.
