1. Introduction
The restaurant application is a restaurant application designed to provide several
facilities. This document explains the proposals for the application which describes
the purpose and the main scope for making the application. The time period in which
the project will be completed within the specified estimated budget is explained in
this document. An interactive methodology will be taken for understanding the
functional and non-functional requirements for the application. The software and
designing tool will be used as a framework for the designing of the application and to
accomplish the project on specified time duration, planning is developed in this
document.
2. Background and Client Profile
The name is a restaurant application that will provide facility to book the table online
by making the payment online. The application will be designed for the client
Rachid Hamadi and the company details of the client is VU Sydney and his address is
160 Sussex Street, Sydney.
3. Purpose and Objectives
The main purpose of making the restaurant application is to propose a framework on
the basis of the understanding of both functional and non-functional requirements.
The objective of creating the application is to allow the users to book the table
online in advance by registering themselves or login into the account. This
application will provide the several functionalities such as cart functionality by which
user can save the items in the cart which they want to order in future and also make
online payment through payment mode functionality (John, 2011). The main
objectives of this proposal are:
 The project of restaurant application will help in understanding the concepts and
implements it practically.
 To design the restaurant application and make plans.
 With the help of this application, the user will be able to order the foods online.

 The application will be built using tools.
4. Scope and Exclusion
The main scope of the project is to build the restaurant application named as an
application that will provide several functionalities to the users. The main features of
this application are that the user can book the table online in advance by registering
to the application. The application will be design as part of the project, but it would
contain less ability to hold the meetings, design evaluation, and testing.
 The application will focus on the development of the restaurant application so
that the customer can book the table in advance and there will be no need to go
to the restaurant.
 This will enable the user to make their account permanent to book the table in
the future also and can use other functionalities as well.
 When the user will book the table online, they will have to make payment online.
 Another scope is to allow the user to check the menu list along with the cart
functionality (Chavan et al. 2015).
Exclusion:
If the customer cancels the booking after making the payment, then the amount will
not be refundable.
5. Assumptions and Constraints
The following assumptions will be made for the restaurant application:
 The restaurant application will be developed for all types of platform like
Android, iPhone.
 Both landscape and portrait mode will be supported by this application.
 API will be used for creating the application.
 On the basis of requirements, functional and non-functional data will be stored
on the database of the application.
 With the help of this application, the user can book the table online and check
the menu list.
 This application will also provide the functionality to add items in the cart.

 Payment functionality will also be provided by the application through which a
user can make payment online (John, 2011).
Constraints:
 The user will not be getting the refund after cancelling the booking once the
payment has been done and bookings have been confirmed.
 The application that will be made will be not complex and easily understand by
the users.
 If the customer wants to change the table number, the extra charge will be
applicable.
 The application will store all the details of registered users.
6. Deliverables
The project will provide the following deliverables:
 The application will give details about itself, its policies, and terms and
conditions.
 The project will allow the users to make their account by registering themselves.
 The application will provide the menu list so that users can check the menu
items.
 The system will also deliver the functionalities such as payment mode and cart
(Kerzner, 2019).
7. Schedule
To accomplish the project of making restaurant application on time, the project will
be divided into the sub-sections and each section will be set at some specific time
that needs to be completed into the set time-period (Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017).

8. Budget
The budget is decided roughly on the basis of the requirements and it is the
estimated amount that would be changed as per the design requirements.

9. Resources Roles and Responsibility
To accomplish the project successfully, the resources used are:
 Technical team lead: The main responsibility is to design the restaurant
application, upholds the entire accountability for the design and implementing
integrity. The main role is to organize, manage, and coordinate the entire team.
 Project Manager: The main responsibility as a project manager is to undertake
the delivery and completion of the designing and development of the application
on time within the estimated budget. Their roles to define, maintain, and
manage the plans and will coordinate in the budget and logistics of the overall
project.
 Quality assurance team: The main responsibility is to make sure that the
application will fulfils both the requirements, functional and non-functional and
role is to make the test plan and cases and will also execute them (Kurt & Kececi,
2018).
