provides sufficient knowledge about the current discussing topic.
Concept of motivating the employees
According to Lodewijk Noordzij, 2013, motivation is one of the bright concept in order
to increase the productivity and performance of the employees. The motivation of employees is
directly related to their performance. In restaurants and pubs, customer satisfaction is necessary.

In order to satisfy the customers, it is necessary for Beehive restaurant to motivate its employees
to work harder and perform better. This performance will surely satisfy the needs and demands
of customer easily. The basic meaning of motivation is about the desire to do something.
Therefore motivation will help the employees of Beehive restaurant to go to the customer and
ask him about its needs and demands. Apart from that, there are some of the basic needs also
which should be fulfilled by them. In some of the aspects, it has become necessary for the
employees to understand the feelings and requirement of customer. This will motivate them also
to perform better and can serve better for them. Motivation always states the area in which the
work is going to be done. It has been given to the employee so that it can serve better services to
the customers. Motivating the employees is one of the major concern of the management. In
order to motivate the employees, there are many theories which can help the management of
Beehive restaurant to motivate its employees. This includes content theory and process theory of
motivation. Both of these theories are used by the management to motivate its employees. An
ideal environment of working also motivates the employees in the work place. The management
of Beehive restaurant should keep in mind the rights of employees so that they can feel important
themselves for the organization. This feeling help them to work harder for the betterment of
restaurant. The restaurant can take valuable feedback from the employees about their
performance and issues in the workplace. This feedback not only motivates the employees but
also help in satisfying the needs and demands of customers. Thus it can help the restaurant to
increase its profitability and customer base. Since employees are the end server in an
organization, therefore their feedback is also important. In Beehive restaurant the management
should also consider the employees before making any decision within organization. Employees
can provide effective knowledge in implementing such decision on the ground. This will reduce
the chances of failure of the new strategy and planning. Thus help the restaurant to motivate the
employees and increase their productivity. The management of Beehive restaurant should
consider the pitfalls of not motivating the employees. Lack of motivation never help the
restaurant to increase their sales and productivity. The employees who are less motivated also
engages other employees with them not to provide effective utilization of the resources. This
decreases their performance and productivity and also for the organization.

The techniques of motivating the employees
As it has discussed earlier, motivation is the necessary traits which a management should
possess in its employee. Motivated employees can help the organization to increase its sales and
profitability. There are various ways through which an employee can be motivated within
Beehive restaurant. According to Ilya Pozin, 2018, following are the ways through which
employees can be motivated.
Gamify and Incentivize
This is the technique in which the employee is motivated first by rewards and incentives.
After that, it has been checked by its performance by giving certain tasks. If the employee has
good performance than there is no need to motivate its gain but if it's performance has not
improved than the performance of employee should be estimated. Some of the training videos
and other aspects should have been taught to the employee so as to improve its performance.
Trusting the employee
The manager of Beehive restaurant should trust its employees so that they can work for
the betterment of restaurant. The employee should know about the trust and faith of the
management. This makes the employee to feel important for the organization. Thus increasing its
performance and productivity. The employee will work in satisfying the needs and demands of
the customers. Confidence always improve the quality of work and speed also. Therefore in
order to motivate the employees the management of Beehive restaurant should trust to the them.
Setting up of smaller weekly goals
The manager of Beehive restaurant should set smaller gaols for the employees so that
they will not bother with that. Larger targets sometimes demotivate the employees to reach
towards its goals. Although larger targets also captured with the help of dividing it into smaller
tasks. The management of Beehive restaurant should give smaller target to handle a few
customers to its employees. This will help them in improving their performance level. When the
employee get used to with giving a effective performance than the burden can be increased over
it. It will learn the way through which the customer can be satisfied easily. Thus motivating the
employees by setting up of smaller targets will also help the restaurant in increasing its
profitability.
Giving purpose
Document Page
Purpose and objective are the primary target of doing anything. An employee should have
proper purpose and objective in its mind so that it can go on its way. Clear objective and purpose
also help the employee in understanding the mission and vision of the organization as well. This
will help it in working with a accuracy and timely. The chances of error reduces by knowing the
purpose and objective of the work. In case of Beehive restaurant, the management of the
restaurant should provide effective purpose of satisfying the needs and demands of the
customers. This will help the employee in understanding the picture of fitting itself in a big
picture.
Motivating the individuals rather than a team
This is another aspect through which an employee can be motivated. Motivating the
employee in a team will help it in performing better in terms of results. Motivating in a team
will help the employee to work with a common goal. In case if Beehive restaurant, the employee
should be judged and incentivize individually. This will help the management to increase
individual performance so as to gain maximum productivity. Individual motivation can be gained
with the help of rankings. The employee having higher rank will be given more incentive and the
employee having lower rank will be helped to get good rank in future. This strategy will help the
management to motivate the employee individually. In a team motivation, the employee
sometimes underestimated its skills and capabilities which can not be utilized by the restaurant in
future.
Importance of motivating the employees for business growth
Employee motivation is the leading concept through which an organization can gain
business growth. In order to motivate the employees there are various ways but why the
motivation is important is discussed in this section. According to Victor Lipman, 2014, the
importance of motivation are as follows:
Employees importance for the organization
Motivation always allow the employee to work harder in response to the organization.
The employees feel important itself for the organization after motivation. This help it in getting
involved heartily in all the matters which are entailed with it. In case of Beehive restaurant, the
employees motivation will help it in getting involved in providing necessary requirement of the
customers. This will help the customer in performing better for the restaurant. Apart from that,

the customers who wants drinks and other aspects of it, motivation help the employee in keeping
mind the complementary and other requirement of the customer.
Brings positivity at the workplace
Motivation also help the employee to bring positivity at the workplace. This positivity
allows other employees also to be positive enough so that they can increase their performance
and productivity. Positivity releases the stress at the workplace, therefore it's presence is
necessary at the workplace. Apart from that, motivated employee works stress free because of
faith over its skills and performance. This will help in increasing its accuracy also. In case of
Beehive restaurant, positivity also allow the customer to be enjoyed at the restaurant and thus
increasing the productivity of it.
Increase in Innovation and productivity
Motivation is a necessary requirement at the workplace. This helps the employee to think
independently which will bring innovative ides to its mind. Innovation help the employee to
grow its personal career development also. Therefore motivated employee will always be happy
at the workplace and keep happy to others. Innovative employee is always valuable for the
organization. In case of Beehive restaurant, the innovative employee will help the restaurant to
increase better services for the customers. It can also help the restaurant to provide necessary
feedback which can help in improving the errors of services provided to the customers.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is the process of identifying the ways through which a research
should be conducted (Doiron, 2014). This type of research methodology provides ethics, process,
type sand other aspects also which are helpful in selecting the best methods of conducting the
research.
Research Philosophy
There are two types of research philosophies which can be used by the researcher such as
pragmatist research philosophy and interpretivist research philosophy. In this research,
pragmatist research philosophy is used because it can yield better results with the opportunity to
mix a better methods in the research. Interpretivits research philosophy is not suitable for this
research as it is comparatively new with pragmatist research philosophy.

This is the next step in which there are two types of research approaches used such as
deductive research approach and inductive research approach. In this research deductive research
approach is used as this approach is helpful in forming the views and perception of respondents
with the help of a structured questionnaire. Another research approach such as inductive research
is not used in this research as it is not suitable with the structured questionnaire.
Research Choice:
It is another research layer in which there are two types of approaches used such as
qualitative and quantitative research approaches (Hartmann, 2014). In this research qualitative
research designing is used which is based conducting the research on the basis of facts and
theories. Otherwise quantitative research approach is helpful for conducting research based on
statistics and figures. In qualitative research, a structured questionnaire is formed which is
helpful in gathering the primary data.
Data Collection
There are two types of ways through which data can be collected within research such as
primary research and secondary research. In case f primary research, the data is collected with
the help of respondents. The methods of collecting primary data are preparing structured
questionnaire and interviews. In this research a structured questionnaire is prepared which is
asked with the potential respondents. The questionnaire should be short concise and close ended
so that answers of the respondents will be limited in positive, negative and no response. Other
types of data collection method is secondary data collection method. In this research both types f
data collection methods have been used. In secondary methods, the data has been collected with
the help of books, journals and magazines etc. All of these sources provides universal data which
can be used to state the static information.
Data collection through questionnaire approach:

It is the process through which data samples have been collected with the help of
convenience sampling approach (Hummel, 2012). In this step, a good number of respondents
have been selected so that they can answer the questions present in questionnaire. The
respondents should be potential enough so that they can answer effectively about the questions.
The objective of the research should be clear in the minds of respondent. The number of samples
taken to answer the questions are 30.
Research Ethics
There are three types of research ethics available to the research. The researcher should
follow informed consent, anonymity and confidentiality of the research. For informed consent,
the respondents should be aware about the objective of the research. Anonymity shows that the
details of the participants should not be disclosed to anyone. Apart from that, confidentiality
suggests that the research should not be shown to the person who is not authenticated to it.
