Resolution of issue in management of restaurant
Taking account the expansion of Westbrook Lobster, Frank Rainsford along with his
son and daughter can open the second restaurant as planned by the son. Social media such as
Facebook would be quite useful in this regard with reference to the setting up and
establishment of the second restaurant as far as the aspect of marketing and advertisement is
concerned. Additionally, technology would also play an essential role with reference to the
setting up of the second restaurant. As a result, the tool such as Point of Service would be
quite helpful in this regard thereby implying the touch screens to facilitate the ease of placing
orders for the customers. The management of the new restaurant would have to rest upon the
son and daughter with Frank Rainsford being consulted for any major or critical decision
being undertaken with regard to the benefits of the new restaurant. Furthermore, it would also
lead to the generation of employment for fresh graduates who are encountering problems in
the soft job market as far as the benefits working in a family business is concerned (Neubauer
and Lank, 2016). Ed Tobor would be involved in the participation of the resolution of the
conflict of interests between the son and daughter based on his experience relating to assistant
manager for Frank Rainsford. However, the key thing would be the adherence to the
principles of management as far as the modus operandi of the restaurant without any kind of
misconduct is concerned.
As a far as staffing is concerned, the website for the restaurant has to provide a
platform for job applications thereby implying the analysis of the resumes of the potential job
applicants. The selected applicants would be called for interviews and screening tests thereby
resulting in the selection of the candidates based on their skills along with the appropriate job
profiles. It should be conducted in a planned manner. The aspect of strategic planning would
help in the achievement of the business goals and objectives of the restaurant in the desired
manner. The tasks are to be allocated to the concerned employees in the desired manner
based on their skills thereby implying management in an effective and efficient manner is
concerned (Aronoff and Ward, 2016). The son and daughter have to assess their own set of
skills with reference to entrepreneurship. In this matter, Frank Rainsford and Ed Tobor would
be of great help. The finances with regard to the investment in the setting up and
establishment of the new restaurant are also to be taken into consideration (Burns, 2016). As
far as financial planning is concerned, an accountant would be of great help with reference to
the planning of the budget and the taxes involved. In this regard, the regulations and financial

policies would be considered. The data with reference to financial planning must be
maintained. The people recruited for the new restaurant must be remunerated in the desired
manner thereby implying the retention of the existing employees (Stead and Stead, 2017).
